Have you heard of this? http://pandora.com/ Basically, they are trying to break down songs into its "genome." ie. based on style of bass, vocals etc. I think they have like 400 aspects of music they are breaking things down into. They have also made a program in which you can make your own...

It was a good explanation when you mentioned "grew on me." I listened to the album 3 or 4 times on the internet and then had to go out and buy it. It is good, not great, but has a place in the CD collection.

Jamiroquai's muic is not lame at all.. in fact it is pretty cool. He also does a lot of work in the promotion of acid jazz and underground R & B. There is some good stuff on his late night tales compilations.
