I've got my eye on that show at Van Andel. Pearl Jam has always been a band I've wanted to see live.

I can take 'em or leave 'em.
When is Rush touring again? :P

Gee, I hope they come to the Northwest.

We don't get to see such cutting-edge acts around here very often.

On a related note, Built to Spill has postponed their Detroit show in April. I'm half tempted to use a mad faced smiley, but I...just...can't....do it.

I think he's referring to PJ.

I fucked up and slept in on Saturday and missed my chance at the best seats. I wanted to get two tickets in case someone wanted to tag along...wink wink. Plus, I've got some other friends that live up there that might be interested in going. I might look later at Stub Hub or something if someone is selling their tickets. $50 is pretty steap for a show as it is...they'll only get worse when I buy them from someone else who is probably looking to turn a profit. Stupid me, I'm going to turn around drop $100+ on a Wings playoff ticket in the nosebleeds when those go on sale but I won't spend $50 to sit in the upper tank at a concert considering all seats cost the same. I loving being up close to the stage. If I can't be up close, I won't bother going.

Get tenclub ... you are basically assured to get some fo the best seats in the house.

It costs 10 bucks a year, but i have gone to 5 shows in the last 3 years, all with great seats.... some on floor, some about 3 to 10 rows up on the side of the arena.

Well worth it IMO

That was sort of a subtle jab by me...I'll try and be more clear....he's assuming I'm going to PJ in GR.

there are very few bands i'd pay huge jack to see in an arena/stadium nowadays: pj, rush, radiohead, and the boss are all i can think of right now. $60 OTD for pj is worth it considering they'll play 25-30 songs per night and you never know what you're going to hear, except for the usual live staples. i'll spend that $60 even faster to see pj in a 11k seat arena like van andel before a 20k seat place like the united center or the palace. we had good seats at the uc when i saw them in 03 but there were a LOT of people high up behind us. every seat at van andel arena is a good seat when you keep it in perspective. and if pearl jam is going to play within an hour of me, well even better.
