listening to Kaya on vinyl.

in particularly, i keep repeating this one -

Sun is shining, the weather is sweet, yeah
Make you wanna move your dancing feet now
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know,
y'all, can you understand?

When the mornin' gather the rainbow,
yeah, yeah
Want you to know,
I'm a rainbow too now
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know,
y'all, can you, can you, can you understand?

Sun is shining, the weather is sweet now
Make you wanna move your dancing feet, yeah
But to the rescue, here I am
Want you to know just if you can,
here I stand,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

Can you understand me now, baby?
Do you believe me?

i imagine it's better if you're baked, however i'm not and still diggen it.

I was inspired to pull this track out of my CD collection:

Went old-school after a song popped into my head recently.

"Astronomy" by BOC. It's my fav. from the live album, "Some Enchanted Evening."

The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Like acid and oil on a madman's face
His reason tends to fly away

Like lesser birds on the four winds
Like silver scrapes in May
Now the sands become a crust
And most of you have gone away

Come Susy dear, let's take a walk
Just out there upon the beach
I know you'll soon be married
And you want to know where the winds come from

Well it's never said at all
On the map that Carrie reads
Behind the clock back there you know
At the four winds bar

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Four winds at the four winds bar
Two doors locked and windows barred
One door let to take you in
The other one just mirrors it

Hey, hey, hey, hey
In hellish glare and inference
The other one's a duplicate
The queenly flux, eternal light
Or the light that never warms (repeat twice)

The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Miss Carrie nurse and Suzy dear
Would find themselves at the four winds bar

It's the nexus of the crisis
The origin of storms
Just the place to hopelessly
Encounter time and then came me

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Call me Desdenova, eternal light
These gravely digs of mine
Will surely prove a sight
And don't forget my dog, fixed and consequent

Astronomy...a star

I'm listening to the fat secretary outside my office farting all over her squashed chair every 10 minutes.

I'm listening to the Cure....Bloodflowers in my office.

Awesome.

I'm now listening to Crystal by Nova June. Another CD I had to order from Amazon in Germany because the American record companies suck ass.

Earlier this morning, I was listening to the album Pursuit of Happiness by Weekend Players.

Another thread got me remembering just how Good "Unleashed in the East" was.

Also for the AC/DC fans - "If you want Blood" the first live album is just incredible

My song for Buzzcore. I miss the buzz and can't bear the thought of losing her. Thusly, Postal Service sums up my feelings.

How can I just let you walk away
Let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath
With you, ooh
You're the only one who really knew me at all

How can you just walk away from me
When all I can do is watch you leave
'Cause we've shared the laughter and the pain
And even shared the tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against the odds
And that's what I've got to face

I wish I could just make you turn around
Turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you
So many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
But to wait for you, well that's all I can do
And that's what I've got to face

Take a good look at me now
'Cause I'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
That's the chance I've got to take

Just take a look at me now
why is my neighborhood on fire

not bad, lead singer looks like he borrowed from Alex K's wardrobe but very catchy stuff. "I Predict A Riot" is better-imo

i would tell your friend to hold on for Art Brut's debut lp-if it comes to North America. these guys will make Franz Ferdinand look their hos.

i'd also recommend the debut from The Futureheads,if you can get Andy Gill to produce some of the tracks on your debut, then you don't suck.

LOVE the Black Keys!

I just got the new Tori Amos album. Hope it's good. Probably will be, because she rocks.

Also listening to the new M83 and a whole bunch of Iron and Wine.
