Shout Out to Kyrie Irving...

Re: Shout Out to Kyrie Irving...
Poptart,
You so vehemently argued in previous threads that the earth curves at a rate of 8" per mile squared (or something like that, your words.)
How does this fit into your thesis that the earth is some ambiguous shape that your internet research has not allowed you to come to a definitive conclusion yet of the actual shape versus the overwhelming consensus that the earth is generally a spherical object?

Re: Shout Out to Kyrie Irving...
There is no question that the overwhelming consensus is that the globe earth is correct.
I don't think I should need to tell anyone (with a brain) that "overwhelming consensus" does not always = TRUTH.
You're aware that "overwhelming consensus" for many years was that the earth is flat.
Was that TRUTH?
Truth is not based on majority rule.
That's #1.
Number 2, I gave you and Dunce every opportunity to inform me (and the rest of the board) what the earth curvature rate is for your globe, seeing as you both protest so hard against the 8" per mile squared that I have cited so many times.
I posted at least a half-dozen links which show this rate to be reality, for your globe model.
I know more about your globe model than you do, yes?
If 8" per mile squared is not accurate, by all means, nut up and SHOW US what the real rate is.
Dunce pussed out, utterly humiliated himself with his math insanity, and instead continues to yap and berate me.
Total clown show.
Number 3, I can't prove the shape of the earth.
If I had proof, I would post it.
I have posted many times, however, that the curvature is NOT THERE.
It is NEVER there.
How can the globe possibly be true?
Now, if you're 100% sure of your globe, simply post your proof of it.
It's what I am asking for.
And btw, did you watch the video I posted for you regarding what the Bible clearly tells us about the shape of the earth, and the rest of the "structure" of our surroundings?
Have a nice day.

I knew pops would focus on the cut, one of the main reasons I chose that video. The cut away was there for one purpose only. To show the pattern for the booster separation, otherwise the video is seamless. Go ahead pops, prove that the Earth in the background is fake. On what do you base that. Show us the proof.Pud Tard wrote:

But a camera zooming in and out from a ship traveling across the horizon is "proof" of... something. Cameras are only reliable when it fits his narrative.
But he'll still call me out for a sight error in numbers, when my point was absolutely correct -- any formula needs to remain unchanged if you apply the same multiplication/division for both sides of the equation. He can't grasp the concept that the "curvature formula" that he cites as law is an approximation (which anyone who made it through the "hard" math classes in freaking high school will tell you.
He's desperately trying to prove the Bible is---->a science book. Yet he won't address the FACT his book says the earth is both flat and---->square.
His trolljob is falling apart, because it's possible he's starting to believe it.

In addition to that, he has yet to rationalize his belief that Russia, the United States, France, Japan, China, India, Israel, Iran and North Korea are all in on the conspiracy, as these are all countries who have launched rockets and satellites into orbit. Yeah, the U.S. and North Korea are in kahoots. Riiiight.

Jayne, the you said that the boat in the video I posted is not visible with the naked eye.
We agree.
The obvious follow-up question (which you were asked many times now) is, "Then how do you see a boat go over the horizon."
You don't answer.
You divert and flail, while Dunce (who's head was thoroughly kicked in in the other thread) cheers you on.
How seriously pathetic are you?
Answer the question and restore your credibility.

Nope.

The surface of the earth curves at a rate of 8" per mile squared on your globe.

This does nothing.
Are you a camera guy?
1:00 to 1:04 -- the left screen -- what's that about?
1:57 to 2:00 -- again
Okay, set it aside...
The launch was at 1:00.
Space begins at 100 km.
https://www.google.com/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=Tv ... ace+begins&*
Sentinel 1A data show that 100 km is reached 3 minutes after launch.
http://blogs.esa.int/rocketscience/2014 ... -timeline/
The are not in space until the video is at 4:00.
The camera cuts away at 2:32 -- and just a slight corner of the earth is shown -- NO curvature detected.
This is most definitely NOT a video of a rocket going from land to space.
Stop thinking you're going to post a GOTCHA video and answer your question.

But by all means pursue the curious idea that if the earth was a globe as asserted by these incorrigible rationalists, that an airliner, for example, would have to continuously steer downwards to accomdate the curve so as to avoid flying straight off into space.poptart wrote:Must suck having your ass kicked all around by Dan Vogel.

Re: Shout Out to Kyrie Irving...
Yes Poptart, that video proves that the earth is not a perfectly smooth "marble". You need to stop mixing up local observations with global observations. Obviously the earth is not a perfect spherical shape, i.e relative height of Mt. Everest and the depth of the Marianas trench.
You want proof of the globe model:
It is the backbone of all physical sciences and accepted theories from Newton to Einstein through current researchers.
Poptart, I read the bible and consider myself a follower of Jesus also, I do not see where it describes a flat earth, instead I see that GOD created the universe. Why? in your mind are you trying to limit what GOD can do by limiting it to a flat plane. Why? are you limiting GOD's ability to provide wisdom to us to understand the incredible universe He created.
You need to stop being such an idiot (if you are trolling than I am the idiot).
Best Regards Brother

I could post a lot of things in response to these few sentences of yours, but I will point something out and then ask you a simple question.
Genesis 1:14-18 - God set the sun, moon, and stars in the firmament.
Genesis 1:6-7 - God placed waters above the sun, moon, and stars.
Psalms 148 - These waters above the sun, moon, and stars are established forever, by His decree.
Question: Where do you think these waters are located?
---------
If you paid attention to my previous posts about lack of earth curvature, you would know that height above sea level is accounted for in the math used to calculate it.
At any rate...
In this video, the observations are done at water level.
Surely you can't be trying to tell me that the earth curvature rate is somehow different over Lake Michigan compared to the earth curvature rate over Lake Winnebago.
But then again, I should be accustomed to people trying to tell me ------> weird, wild, wacky shhhtuff.

When I first heard of it, I thought it had to be the most asinine thing ever.
Scroll, scroll, scroll...
Until one day when I finally decided to take a look at it.
Didn't take me very long to realize that the globe has huge issues.
Nobody looks at the issue for real.
