Man, that really is food-for-thought. I think we need to take a week off and think about this.

Sin,
SEC

If, if that were to happen I would hope the committee would use head to head non conf games as a decision point.

Take MSU and Oregon. Oregon in MSU out.

FSU and ND. FSU in and ND is out.

I agree.

And we can apply it to the SEC... uhm...

One of them played KSU, I guess.

Maybe if the committee does the right thing, the SEC might actually start playing someone.

The likelihood of all those teams running the table is so low that it's really not worth worrying about at this point. Upsets are on the horizon. It happens every year in November.

I think a 2-loss SEC champ is a lock to get into the playoff, assuming said team comes out of the West. I don't think the committee is as enamored with straight W/L record as the fans are. They have already laid their cards out on the table and said SOS and conference championships are the main criteria.

If Mizzou ended up winning the SEC, I would laugh by balls off. Now THAT would throw a wrench into things.

Oh. Then you wouldn't mind citing the date when Sagarin changed his formula?

Yeah, thought so.

And ASU played Utah, UCLA played Zona, and Oregon played Stanford...

what were you saying about "elimination games"?

You pulled to idiotic takes in one post -- congrats.

According to his Wiki page, Sagarin grew up in New York and Indiana, and attended MIT. By all accounts he has zero ties to the west coast. So maybe someone can explain where his "love" for the Pac comes into play? Is he accepting cash payments from Larry Scott to fudge the numbers or something?

Seems to me when you play 9 conference games (one less OOC creampuff), 5 or 6 road games a year, and play a better non-con schedule than most, you're going to have solid SOS numbers. This isn't rocket science.

And I just laid out the logical reasons why.

Uhmmm... take a guess why?

Hint: Citadel, NorthwesternEast State South, et al

How to suck SEC balls

1) Pump chest about your greatness while ducking every other non-SEC team

2) When the ridiculous nature of step 1 is pointed out, play the victim

It's just like Spray's conspiracy theory that ESPN is in the tank for the NE Corridor teams and schools because they're located near ESPN. Pure, unadulterated stupidity.

Of the 4 guys on the 2-deep at tackle starting the season, 3 of them were out for that game. And I believe a guard, too.

But losing your starting LT is never a good thing.

Sam, LSU isn't that good. Relax. It seems like I have to tell you this every year.

Were you looking for the word "two"? Might want to be a little more careful when calling someone else idiotic.

They want the best 4 teams, right?

An SEC champ with two losses will be one of the 4.

While I agree you are likely correct, they would be included, there is no way you can say they would be one of the 4 best at this point in the season.

if MIZZOU gets in does that mean Indiana gets a sniff?? You know transitive property and such?
