Watched something called "The Event" on Monday night. Looks to be another one of those netword serials, sort of a cross between FlashForward and Lost. Decent pilot but I just don't know if I want to get caught up in a story that never ends and I lose interest in in a couple of months.

It's worth watching if you hit the mute button.

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

I wasted an hour of my life watching that, too. Looks like the whole premise is going to be "The government is harboring Harry Potter."

During that hour, they showed more minutes of repeated promos for Chase than the show.

Watched 'Boardwalk Empire' on TiVo Monday night...great show, I'll definitely follow that one all season. There isn't much that Scorsese does that I don't like.

Watched 'Detroit 1-8-7' on Tuesday night...it was okay; the cop genre has been done to death but I'll watch it as long as it keeps my interest.

Watched 'The Event' on Hulu last night...weird show; I can do without watching another episode.

Seeing all the Detroit shit in it is pretty sweet in itself. Saw the Packard plant and "we got a suspect going east on Temple towards Cass." Nice.

I've watched a few episodes of that show. T-Mike is dumber than a stump and his old man ain’t too bright either, except the old man is at least street swamp smart. Unbelievable that one of them Cletuses hit a swimming gator in the back of the head at 100 yards freehand with a .22 from a rocking boat in a steady drizzle.

I recorded that... I hope it's good. I watched that new show "Chase" last night. Stopped the recording about 30 minutes in and deleted the series... oh well.

A lot of the pilot and the second episode was filmed in Atlanta and Detroit but supposedly the rest of the first season was filmed exclusively in Detroit. Yesterday, the hardcore Detroit snobs were bagging on the accuracy on the radio.

What's funny is I'm downtown right now for work...working out of a hotel room (The Atheneum) because four of us got free tickets for last night's Tigers game. We grabbed lunch at the American Coney Island, which was featured in a scene of the pilot.

This morning, I was walking down Brush with a buddy from work to get coffee at the Starbuck's in the Ren Center and saw some trailers and film equipment in a parking lot. There was nothing that said what they were shooting. I doubt it was for the show because I assume the rest of the season has already been filmed.

Not to mention, us old fucks aren't all that adept at learning new technology because quite frankly, we don't want to learn new fangled shit and don't GARA about it. Fuck that frustrating noise, we'll go read a book instead.

Unless it was good porn that needed to be recorded, of course.

So we should then call you SEC Bandwagon Homer?
Yeah, I've heard of these DVR thingamabobs, but I ain't interested in anything enough to record it.
Actually, I rarely watch a sporting event live these days. I DVR games I want to see, and by the time I get the kids put to bed, the game is usually on or over. I watch football games in about 1 hour fastforwarding through all the commercials, timeouts, reviews and halftime.
