I'd add from a Fans standpoint it's a good thing as well.

Back when I had season tix - I hated paying full price for 2 scrimage games - there was no opt out.

Basically 20% of the cost was for worthless bullshit.

I really don't see a downside - other than some teams may not be as well prepared -
