I won't bore you folks in the NE and MidWest with our weather today, but I sure as hell feel for you poor fuckers walking around in temps about 100 degrees colder than ours. That just ain't right.

A chilly 30 this morning, with frozen fog...

On its way to another sunny day, highs in the low 50's... which is pretty deece for this time of year. And a long string of dry days is just what the doctor ordered after last week's floods.

If I had the afternoon off, it's possible I might go swing the sticks... which up north of the 45 Parallel, is pretty much winterBODEness.

HA! I'm farther north than about any of you freezing fuckers. Serves you fucks right for ever sending that shit my way to begin with. ARCTIC FRONT REPELLED!!!!!!

I forgot you're up there, Dins.

You and your friends and family come out OK from the floods?

Me, my friends, and scant family have never interbred with our family members (not recently anyway), nor do we huff thinner as a hobby, therefore, we built our methlabs off the flood plains.

Pretty hilly around these parts, for the most part -- ain't too tough to find a place to live that isn't in a flood plain... but when FEMA cuts you a check every year for being an idiot, why change?

BTW-seems like a good place for a reset...

Tell you the truth, I'm not ready for this heat wave shit.

80+ degrees in mid-January? Just not down with it, I'd prefer low 50s and a little rain right now. Can't leave the office and go to the beach anyway.

A little better than the alternative, though, I guess.

If you live somewhere and the weather suprises you...shame on you. I love golf, speant the last 10 years in Florida, so I played my share of winter links. Now back in the D, why bitch about the cold? It's motherfucking January, what'd these people expect?

Enduring cold winter weather is a strength- and character-building exercise. I'm thinking that's why you're a simpleton marshmallow that sprouted unclean-looking bristles...but there are probably a few additional reasons.

You’re either blind, or a fucking idiot. I’m betting on the latter. Milwaukee is a typical of the rust belt, with a decaying inner city populated in a large part by those in the lower income levels (you’d fit right in).

Madison has a much higher level of income and education (probably why I fit in here), with a high percentage of professionals. It’s also a city situated between two lakes, so it’s a very attractive city as well. That’s probably why it’s consistently selected as one of the top 10 places to live in the US, you FAT fucking RETARD.

Like hunting, ice fishing, skiing, skating and snowshoeing? There's plenty that can be done outside in winter weather. You can even go for a hike in the winter. It's got nothing to do with bitching about the weather.

In the winter, we New Englanders usually hit the slopes for some skiing and/or 'boarding. Do you do these types of activities indoors in the U & L? Do you get a tan whilst doing so? Don't most of us have John Stockton's skin tone from Dec-Feb?

Good God, man, put on some extra layers if it's too cold for you. Women complain about the weather, Dins. Why do you hate your penis so much?

Word. My wife and I love taking the our dog for his "woods runs" in the winter because he loves the snow, and also, there's a lot more room for us to roam. It seems that all the Dinses are pussied out in front of a fireplace wearing their mittens/robes complaining that their hair and make-up don't hold up so well in the frigid winter air.

We don't need rain. We had rain in November and December. And I thoroughly enjoyed our brisk, wintry weather. You cannot beat the blue sky. My daisies are blooming. I only water when necessary. Mikey is probably one of those tards whose automatic sprinklers are running during a storm.

...it's plummeted all the way down to 77 degrees here in Northridge off a high of 83 yesterday...but hey, who's complaining?...well uh, I'm guessing everyone east of Tucson. I'm with James on this one, you cavemen from Crapchester, Buffalo, Madison, take the next 30 minutes to wrap your chalk white bod's in 7 layers of wool, grab your dog or wolverine or what ever kind of pets survive artic cold and take a brisk walk in the woods.
HOWEVER,
If you're ever of a mind to enjoy ALL outdoor sports 12 months a year, within a 45 minute drive, give me a bell here in Northridge (earthquake country) I'll send you directions.

..touche'...it's about 5 hours to Red Lake. The article pretty much explains how Cali's feel about ice fishing.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Thinking there are few places to fish, Californians still shy away from taking icefishing seriously.

On the other hand, from January through March, anglers can find a handful of roadside waters that offer easy access to icefishing destinations.

Throughout Northern California and the upper reaches of the Sierra, several waters provide anglers with great access to frozen lakes that can yield rainbow, brown, brook, lake and cutthroat trout.

Icefishing doesn't require tremendous skills. Anglers with an auger and shovel can use their trout gear that they normally use in lakes, rivers and streams and become successful at icefishing.

It's much easier than you might expect.
