That's funny that they actually have no-hitters and perfect games as a stat now. I'm guessing we'll have ties in those columns on most weeks. I had Buerhle on one of my teams last year...it would've nice to get a reward for the no-no he threw.

To be fair, Lackey wasn't hurt until after I picked him...

I have no sympathy for anyone who picks Beckett, Kazmir or Escobar when it was known for a little while about their injury issues.

I did that last year as I was guilty of not paying too much attention to injuries and such during spring training. I picked Pedro (out until after the All-Star break), Liriano (out for the whole season) and someone else that didn't play for a month.

What is so bad about drafting Beckett? I realize that a back injury can be a long term problem, but he is not expected to miss a lot of time. Are you saying that he is not worth drafting at all? If so then I disagree. Taking a shot with him is not outrageous.

Those injury situations are a lot different then Beckett's this season.
