Meh.

Post by Truman »

With a full week to prepare, Pinkle has been once again schooled by Bill Snyder; Franklin has regressed to the level of a high school jayvee backup; Ressel couldn't punch a kick into the open-end of a stadium without taking out fans sitting on the five; and OC David Yost would most-likely piss himself before he ever found his dick.

Did the bubble-screen page fall out of the play book? And what happened to "we will always have a quarterback," Gary?

And a buncha fuck-ass, brain-dead St. Louis gimps want to take this shit to the SEC... :meds:- the-fuck-out-loud.

pretty disappointing showing from an MU perspective so far....

looks like the Cats may be on the verge of possibly being for real (as a legit 8-9 win team). for fuck's sake, they beat ranked Baylor! BU somehow still ranked? what is the new deal with Baylor getting the rankings treatment?

one of today's choice eye-rolling moments from Herbstreit and the ABC crew during the RRS was "Herbie" saying before the season started he had @KSU as a tough game for OU. now, sure. a game OU needs to show up. before the season......ehhh? no one really had Darth and the Cats on the verge of 5-0. except Kirk, of course. fucking assgrabber.

the old man has given Stoops all kinds of headaches over the years, even when Bob won.

don't hype the wildcats cause they beat the battered and leaderless Tigers. I knew things were bad watching the ASU game but this is terrible. we handled oklahoma better.

remember when Mizzou had wide receivers? do we still do that?

No it isn't.

Color me unsurprised why a career government antediluvian fails to assimilate basic economics AND understand why such a move would prove to be disastrous to this state and a school we both love.

For God's sake, go watch the NLCS and stay the fuck away from anything that relatively breathes intelligent discourse on the topic.

Fuck off, Bace. I am NOT about to allow whole buncha facts get in the way of a perfectly good rant.

*Ok, so I still really don't think that whole Mizzou-to-the-SEC thingie is such a hot idea. Not only will we lose our Texas recruiting base, we'll be watching our Tigers getting their ass pounded every Saturday by the likes of Mississippi State instead of Kansas State. My take on the economic impact to our state by such a move is real, though...

Well, then, let's have at it, Bace. Gonna hafta be a bit more compelling than your "Texas sucks" take though...

Shall we forward our results to Brady for his consideration? After all, we've got all the government stuff figgered out over in CDS. If only the President lurked....

Not sure what you expect from a soph 1st year starting QB in a hostile environment, but I think the kid is going to do fine.

We've become spoiled but despite the outcome today, this is still a solid team. We may not even qualify for the CarQuest bowl this year but that's no reason to jump off the Kit Bond bridge in surrender.

Go Tigers. Always.

What do I expect?!

A sophomore Brad Smith, starting in a hostile environment. A sophomore Chase Daniel, starting in a hostile environment. A sophomore Blaine Gabbert, starting in a hostile environment. I expect the quarterback that Gary Pinkle promised we would always have.

And expecting to see your team beat an old agricultural-and-teachers school in the middle of a god-forsaken fucking prairie is not spoiled.

Wags, I would just about bet that over the course of our lifetimes, we've seen our team fall at least 250 times. We grew up with, "Know your place MissouriFan." Well, I don't like "my place." I like the idea of beating Silo Tech 30 years in a row and competing for a BCS bowl much better. Losing that game today was inexcusable. Mizzou had two weeks to prepare and still came out flat.

Winning, over the past five years, hasn't spoiled shit.
Winning raises expectations.
And it's better than fucking losing.

Oh, something like this...

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=292550194

Then again, maybe it wasn't all that hostile of an enironment, even though Ohio St did go on to win the Rose Bowl that year...
