Just wanted to break the shitty news to ya that one of his best books, "Gone, Baby, Gone" has been optioned to be made into a movie. Now while that would seem fitting if say David Fincher, Quentin Tarantino, or Clint Eastwood were directing it. But nope instead given the task of turning it from page to screen is Ben fucking Affleck.
That being said I would not hesitate to working on it if I had the oppurtunity, but lets all prey and hope that he is better behind the lens than in front of it.
Any Dennis Lehane fans here?

Mystic River the book was better than the movie (big surprise), and the movie was really good. Shutter Island was a total mindfuck. I'll have to check out Gone, Baby, Gone before Affleck ruins it.
Then again, I'm about 4 or 5 books deep on my reading list, so it might not be feasible.
