I hope Ja Marcus is as aloof during games as he was during his first draft pick.

Congrats to you, Ja Raider Fans!

JaMarcus Russell: The King of comebacks

The throw on 4th and 10 against ASU just explodes out of his hands. Damn.

Dude can make any conceivable throw you can make up, and i'm sure it didnt hurt that Tom Martinez gave his blessing and said that JaMarc was the best talent he'd ever coached and seen.

Considering that Martinez has been Brady's QB coach since he was 13 (and is still called upon every offseason by Brady to correct and clean up his mechanics) thats saying a hell of alot.

Not my first choice but I'm not exactly upset either.

Russell does have impressive physical tools - I've never disputed that.

It's the intangibles that worry me about the guy. After watching Gannon literally will this team to wins arm strength and size mean very little to me these days.

I will say this though.

Russell should sit for some if not all of his rookie season.

Face it we are not playoff bound anyway so let's look long term as an organization for once.

Our offense is changing yet again, our line is shit, and our WR's are suspect at best with bad attitudes.

Bad situation for a young QB to be in. And face it Russell has boom or bust written all over him.

The way Cinci handled Carson Palmer was perfect IMO.

This pick simply has to pan out. If not we are looking at another 5 years of futility.

Patience...a young QB is a long term investment.

Fix the line, lose the cancers, make this a situation where he can succeed rather than be a scapegoat for failure.

Make the right call Kiff.

Bring in a vet.

Tim Rattay is still out there.

Don't throw the kid to the wolves and destroy his confidence like so many others have done.

You got your boy James.

detroit

if he stays in tampa, i will fucking drive the uhaul to gruden and his tard gm buddies front lawn. They need offense, and a franchise wr is that. You overpay for them, kiffin has a system, he could of taken a de in 2nd or filled in and picked up one via the free agency next year. they are a .500 team next year if that, you dont draft like your a division contender, you take a guy who gets you over the hump the next 5 years, not a de. he's not a game breaker, he's a solid de, but picked way too high

why should i be suprised by gruden and his idiocy. im going to hit the beam hard, fucking douchebags. another draft im left pissed and in awe of their stupidity.

Way to shed the 'tard' label, dipshit.

For thier next trick, Chargertard will now run Mikhael Ricks smack at Lionfan followed by Marion Butts smack at Buffalo backers.

'Round these parts, it's been speculated that the Dolts want to take Sabbi Piscitelli if he's still around.

Although he played for Those Guys, whose name I shall not speak, I think dude will make a fine NFL player. A safety who goes 235 and runs a 4.3, with that "eyes in the back of the head" thing going on is a pretty safe late first rounder.

Although the orange and black school always nauseates me, they're always on my television, and I always enjoyed the way Sabbi played the game...with anger and violence...very violent player.

If they pick him up, I'm guessing Doltsfan will be very happy with the guy. Which is painful for Ducksfan to say.

Look's like Trev is getting Hubby a brew so I'll butt-in and say..I'd still be fine with Dwayne Jarrett. He's probably better right now than any Bolt receiver.

Exactly, bro. The Giants, Jets or Philly could have the top pick and that throng would still boo. It was hilarious when Tags was still commissioner. Dude looked scared every time that shit would happen.

Ross is a good pick for the Giants.

Goodell: With the first pick in the NFL Draft, the New York Giants select...your Lord And Savior, Jesus Christ!

Network hacks: Well, no suprise there, Jimbobjoe. It was a foregone conclusion that when He returned, he be would selected with the first pick. It was just a matter whether he'd declare Himself eligible for the Second Coming this year or the next. But hat's off to our NFL insider, Nostradamus, for his call on Jesus coming out this year. I'm sure he's just the man to resurrect this struggling franchise.

Not quite...although they are remarkably similar, in that they both did their best work in a bygone era.

Craig Davis?

:?

EDIT: Fucking hell, you'd think the Cooch DisCharge's just got Moss the 2nd after hearing the dumbfuck radio announcers go nuts down here that I just shut off when they said dude is just as good as Bowe. They also apparently 'got over' because they kept thier 2nd string Running Back (who will be a free agent after this season) in the process.

And San Diegans wonder why they're widely regarded as a second rate sports town backed by a group of fucking morons for fans?

:hfal: ...didn't see that coming  ..about the only thing more predictable than a James rag on the Bolts post, is this :paul:

you didn't hear anything James unless you heard A.J. and Norv laud the abilities of C.D. at the press conference. Played in one less game than Bowe and yet his numbers were right there. (T.D.'s notwithstanding).

Any bets on who has the better rookie season? didn't think so!
