20 more pounds and a shave, and you'd look right at home in the cast of Taxi.

If he mined the archives, he might be able to plagarize some decent routines. I'm thinking Moorese's escapades would do well on-stage.

I hope you are making fun of "Cooking Shows"
I noticed starting in last weeks sat newpaper tv scene, there is a new section devoted only to the weekly cooking shows.
How many times does someone get to say, "hummm, that tastes great" before the damn thing become's stale?

Dude used to call into Spurs post-game shows in WOAI in San Antonio and was pretty funny. For some, the funnay doesn't translate when there's actual typing involved. Complicated stuff, that whole keyboard thing. Of course, starting threads about the Oscars doesn't help either.

The five-week competition, held by the Rivercenter and Hollywood’s Laugh Factory, runs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. through March 27 and will showcase close to 50 comics. Three finalists from each of the first four rounds advance to the final Monday evening, with the winner netting a week’s booking at the Rivercenter, performances at the L.A. and New York Laugh Factories, and $750 cash. Second place gets $500 and booking at the Rivercenter; third gets $100.
100 buckss for third? Do they at least pay your flight if you win?

Damn dude, comedy don't pay as well as it used to, eh?

But hey good luck with all of it, and props to you for sticking it out there.

Dam I had no idea I was fat and that Ugly, you see what 10 years of playing on the PC can do to you?

I really didn't stand a chance. I was # 5 and I was sandwitched between Maggie Gallant from last comic stading , and John Ramsey last years winner of Funniest person in Austin.
Then I was told 2 minutes before my time that I needed to go from X rated to R rated, WTF? Dick is Dick, Pussy is Pussy! how can I tell what is R rated from X rated? I stayed with my set and it cost me points but I got a laugh or two and that what counts,

Well since I have not done any real Stand up in front of a real live crowd since 1986? I kinda think I did ok. It might take till 2008 to get to JTR's status But, you will know when mouse is in da house.

I will say this, I know at leat 6 posters on this board funnier than me. you guys are wasting your talent. Please don't do it . Do like me and use that talent to make a fool of yourself on stage Image
