Helvetia Tavern

Hillsboro, Oregon.

A fucking huge 16 oz hamburger, fries cut with skins on, and....

the coldest beer in the PDX area. By the time it hits your table, it has a layer of ice across it.

That In n Out in Sand Diego is pretty damn good too.

Good but overrated.

If we're talking franchised places and not one-of-a-kind joints ... no question.

I must've eaten there twice a day when I was in Long Beach for a short trip a couple of years ago. Folks in the middle of the country have no idea. RACK it.

Why the fuck can't they open a franchise here? :x

P.S. Sissyroo has made some idiotic posts, but he has got to be trolling in this thread. McDonald's is four-star fine cuisine compared to fucking Whataburger. Are you kidding me? I wouldn't feed that shit to my dogs.

Because it's family-owned and not a franchise chain. They also include Bible citations on their cups & wrappers.

The Bible citations are all the more reason why they'd fit in perfect here. Hell, they probably have family here.

In Nashville, fat Mo's is king. It is a local chain. Awesome gigantic burgers. Get it with the grilled onions, mushrooms and jalapenoes. Don't go there wearing nice clothes that are hard to clean. You will make a mess.

That place is just a step (or half a step) above White Castle. It's considered the place to go after a night of drinking. There's better places in this town (although I can't think of the names of any at this moment.

Favorite place in San Diego was George Burgers in San Marcos & Escondido. Huge burgers & great steak fries.

Angelo's comes a close second.

And I'm glad to hear that Alaska Air is handing out scriptures. With all that's been in the news about them lately praying during their flights isn't a bad idea.

the Cheeseburger and fries at
IN & OUT in SoCal was as fine a plate full
of grease as I've ever consumed !!

honestly I'd just as soon down a couple of
99¢ Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers at Wendy's !

Sorry. In & Out is pretty good if you feel like sitting in the drive-thru for 20 minutes but I wouldn't consider it a "burger joint" - It's a chain just not a franchise.

This is a fucking burger joint...

Michigan definitely went out with a wimper. They started so well but the wheels fell off around the time of the GLI.

State's still alive but I'm not rooting for them to beat Maine today. I'll root for all of the other CCHA teams before them.
