But you can’t find any paper products or canned food. I don’t usually eat any processed crap anyway.
Canned vegetables aren't "processed crap." Have you not ever canned or preserved your own vegetables? I've still got about five quarts of "processed" tomato sauce from last year's crop. I've also got 3 bottles of "processed" green hot sauce and a single precious bottle of red sauce made from a blend of pickled and fermented African bird's eye chilis. Oh, yes..six quarts of dill pickled cucumbers and one pint of pickled beets. All processed and none of it is crap.

Nothing wrong with canned beans either though dry beans are cheaper and take less space.
A few jars of mango salsa and southwest salsa left from fall18, which needs to be used ASAP.
Shit ton of plum sauce (thin jam?) and spaghetti sauce from ‘19 also some pickled lemon cucs from ‘19, they taste fine just soggy (won’t be planting as many of those this year) so use them in egg salad since I have a shit ton of chickens. If every store closed I would be good for the year.

I'm pretty sure my post said something about "the Constitution and stuff."

My civil rights aren't at the governor's discretion.

If I want to have 100 people over to my house this weekend, I will (that won't happen). If I want to travel somewhere in my car, I will (I'll mostly just stay home).

In Oregon, there's statutes that say the governor can impose such things. And if Mississippi passed a law bring back slavery, it would have equal legal merit.

Rights aren't at any politician's will. We ALWAYS have them.

I have a letter from my employer saying I'm "essential"... so everyone can fuck off.

Dude, I’m hunkering the shit out of it over here. I don’t feel like my constitutional rights are being particularly trampled. Nobody’s stopping me from going anywhere. I’d pretty much rather hang at home here in paradise anyway. It sucks that the Padres home opener, which my buddy and I had tickets for, got cancelled. Also had to cancel a four day trip to Santa Barbara next month and ten days in Italia in August but I wasn’t particularly looking forward to that one anyway.

Spent about ten hours over the weekend pulling weeds, which was cool because it rained on Friday. Put in a full day of work today from the home office, including four conference calls. Not having to commute for 90 minutes every day does not suck. Got to go for two nice walks with the OL. The pantry and fridge are both pretty full. My next foraging trip to the flatlands is scheduled for Thursday morning so I can hit Senior Citizens hour at Costco and pick up my online order from The Best Bakery In Town.

Things aren’t bad at all here. So far. I know a lot of others are getting fucked by this thing and I hope it doesn’t get any worse.

The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for among old parchments or musty records. They are written, as with a sunbeam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased.

And just so we are clear, slavery was never outlawed in USA. The 13 just added a caveat that the Slave must be convicted of a crime.

“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”

I think GA is actually doing pretty well considering. 800 cases and 26 deaths so far, but only 2 cases reported here in Macon - and I hope it stays that way. Almost all of it is up around Atlanta. I really thought ATL would be hit much harder than it has been, mostly from the airport. You'd think the busiest airport in the world would spread a lot more shit around here, but not so far. 800 cases at this point out of 10.5 million is not bad.

I'm sure we'll see a lot more, but really - I figured we'd see a whole helluva lot more than we have up to now...

PS: Just looked at the state by state count and we’re not doing that great after all. Still - nothing like NY...
Do you have any state or local mandates for "sheltering" or "social distancing?"
Are you doing, or attempting to do, either?

BTW...

Here's last night's "sheltering in place" soup dinner.

Celery leaf soup - no beans, thickened with potatoes and Mexican table crema, topped with golden thread mushrooms.
"Kale Ceasar"
Crusty multi-grain sourdough
Alban Vineyards 2017 "Patrina" Syrah (luckily I have a decent supply of good red in the wine rack)

Picking up my Pizza. You need to grab it from the 3rd window from the left. The pizza delivery guy waiting for his order.

It's like a ghost town. Normally I wouldn't be able to get this picture without 15 or 20 people blocking the view.

It's like a bad horror movie. I guess were not San Diego.

Most of us are essential to the economy in the long run. We can’t live in a bubble. We all sat around for two weeks, at least I did.
At some point we have to get back to normal especially in places like where I live which has two cases in 606 sq miles in a population of 40k. We agree that may not be today, but I also don’t think it’s July4th, not that you said it I was just picking that date to make a point.

Are all the deplorables alcoholics... or just retards ?

Since being fat is a requirement (an extremely feminine trait that denotes large amount of estrogen and lack of testosterone with burns fat) they may all be in a constant state of (PMS) and can't genetically stop bitching.

Maybe the deplorables are genetically fat as well as genetically retarded and its all about the chromosomes ?

They most likely need our help and not just our laughter and ridicule.

Carson, your thoughts?

Oh reallly? Once the economy gets ramped up again, we will introduce you to peter north,
You'll be saying "ouch" after your anal scenes with him.

He had to go back to porn after several incidents of beating up his wife.
The judge ordered him to come out of retirement in order to pay restitution to his battered wife.
Don't knock it. The anal scenes are right up your alley, and pay way more than oral.
