I'm sad to see him go even though I've always kinda thought he was an arrogant ass. He was one of the few people who actually admitted that their was something wrong with the game two years ago. I'm really not sure if I have my facts right on this, but is there a 4 person/year limit to the Hall of F...

I don't see why they won't win the Northwest Division. Kiprusoff was hung out to dry. Because Vancouver will. I will admit my biases up front. I am a Flames hater. However I don't see why people are picking Calgary to win the Divison/Conference/Cup this year. Sure they added some players but they w...

Salary cap...

I was watching TSN's season preview and they barely touched on Edmonton's salary cap room which got me thinking. Now stick with me here: 1) Lowe has said that Edmonton's cap will be 33-35millon this year. 2) Edmonton's current roster is 31 million. 3) This means that there is 2 to 4 millon that Edmo...

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the retired number should stay with the city and not the franchise, especially if the franchise changes its name and colours. Hull's number should be retired in Winnepeg, not Pheonix.

Shoalzie,

I hate to say this but with the NHL's new rivalry schedule, I can't see 4 teams from 1 divison making the playoffs. Therefore I have to disagree with your pick of "Vancouver, Colorado, Edmonton, Calgary" making the playoffs. Vancouver yes, flip a coin for the other three.

The Canucks loose in the finals every 12 years (94,82) and the Canadians usually win the cup in years that end in 6s (46, 56, 66, 76, & 86) therefore it has to me Montreal over Vancouver in 7 games. Right? Regular Season: Winner of the west Vancouver Winner of the east east Ottawa They were both...

With all the other changes I think this may be the one year that they stick to their no obstrution rules, however I'm reserving judgment until December.

And I hope that if the new rules stick for the regular season that they will call the game the same way in the playoffs.

I ask this because people at work are talking about the Flames winning the west and making a run for the Cup. I just don't see it. Is my hate for the flames clogging my objectivity?
