My son heard this the other day and thought of the B52s

I told him to grab a buncha Henry Mancini stuff.

Kicked off Saturday's show with Duane Eddy's version.
"They say that I have no hits and that I’m difficult to work with. And they say that like it’s a bad thing!”

This was the first album I ever bought, in 1992. I can't remember the second one I bought.

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

Mancini, Herb Alpert, and thank goodness, an occasional Thelonius Monk or Sonny Rollins LP caught my ear emanating from my parents’ shitty console stereo. Blew my mind when my dad complimented the Beatles.

For you Donovan fans, if you’ve never heard ‘Open Road’, remedy that omission immediately!

It’s a fantastic album. Every song is damn good.

A Donovan concert was the first date I ever went on with a girl. I think I was 14, and her father drove us to the show and picked us up afterwards. Merry Clayton was the opening act.

Can't recall 1st album purchase...scraped enough to afford 45's in the day. But I'll NEVER forget my first concert. My friend's Mom had to drive us there......
