7. Poptard--Seoul

Seoul is an international city and most would be interested in visiting.
It's not a place where most (or all) of you would to live, however.

It is one of the most densely-populated cities in the world and it feels that way.


A man needs some elbow room.

You're not finding it in Seoul.


There are a lot of Korean beauties to be seen though.
You might be surprised.

1. Rumps--Houston, it's a great place to be. Warm to hot and back to warm. Vibrant food and beer scene. Reasonable house values and great schools in the burbs.
2. Mikey--San Diego, weather, weather, weather.
3. Left Shitter--DFW area, all the same reasons as Houston only it's not Houston. It wishes it were but it gets a couple degrees extra hot in the summer and that is officially too hot.
4. Screwball--The District I love the district, so much going on, great public transportation, tons of outdoor festivals, great food.
5. Wolftard--Ft Myers, FL... it's Florida.
6. Smackie--Fairfax County, VA, mild weather just outside the district. Homes are expensive and traffic is a nightmare. Not bad if you're close to the Metro, otherwise a nightmare to get anywhere.
7. YAFJO--Pussy (or Richmond, VA) Cheaper houses than above with less traffic... and less of everything else.
8. Dins--Porkland, Great beer scene, the summer is too damn cold.
9. Diego---Seattle, same as Seattle only colder with more rain. Too many grey days.
10. Mgo--Grand Rapids (my hometown), the boring part of Michigan, OK if you like to be bored and want 4 seasons.
11. Sudden Sam--somewhere in Alabammer.... this could be good and this could be very bad, hard to know with this non-specific description. I know I won't be too cold but I have to worry that it could be little Macon or some bacckwards hillbilly hell where they think Italian food is "ethnic".
12. Gobbles McTubesteak--Madison, great beer scene, reasonable prices, good schools, way too fucking cold.
13 Whitey--KC, great BBQ, it's a real city with real city stuff but still affordable with good schools.... but fuck those temperature swings.
14. Spray--Macon, GA.... it's Macon, it's hell, but hey the weather is nice.
15. Poptard--Seoul, nope. Cool place to visit, horrible place to live. Everything is too small, Korean food is great for a weekend but by the 4th day I'd want to pull my tongue out.
16. Duhhron--the part of OR where preppers and racists live. My mom used to live in Klammath Falls, it's a big, big, no fucking way. Nothing to eat, nothing to do, with the exception of sitting around with rednecks planning to bomb the dams. No thank-you.

What's winter? Hurricane Irma not withstanding, we call this area Paradise. Local joke, the "south" ends around Gainesville. I-7 5 is the worm hole here from the midwest. Biggest issue now is growth and traffic in the future, especially during tourist season.

We have nice weather pretty much year round, though it did get up to around 106 a couple of weeks ago. But it's a dry heat.
Best time of the year, weather wise, is right about now.

Also the housing prices are pretty affordable.

That is, if you bought a house 15-20 years ago and re-financed when interest rates were below 4%. Otherwise, not so much.

I don't think there's a prison anywhere near me. Generic, certainly. Stupid bedroom community filled with big (relatively) cheap newer ticky tack houses and good schools. No traffic here either, unless it's Friday night and then all the people going to Tahoe clogged the system.

Houston is fantastic. Anyone who thinks it isn't either visited during the summer with no climate readiness or has never been there.

As you go inland you get warmer. I'm technically still bay area but I'm pretty close to the line that would be considered "inland". It's typically 20 degrees warmer during the day here than it is in the city. Afternoon temps are generally fine but nighttime is a bitter cold.

The only prison I know of is in Vacaville, that's almost 20 miles from me. And no, there's no traffic in Cordelia (outside of the aforementioned Friday afternoon/evening). If you head up 80 towards Vacaville, which I'm guessing you do, there's sometimes traffic.

I have no idea how you got bad Tex-Mex unless you're so attached to Californian Mexican you don't know what good Mexican tastes like.

Here's the deal straight from Mexican friends. Mexicans mostly move to California as part of the agricultural farm workers. They're poor and they work all day. Now generations later many have made it and would not be considered poor at all but they long for their abuelas cooking. Their food reflects this. It's lard and beans on a pot for hours. It's not bad per se but it's not what people with means in Mexico eat. Mexicans that move to Texas are much more likely to be educated and less likely to live in poverty. The food is fresh, it's spicy, it's lime and cilantro forward. Nothing, not even the beans sit in a pot all day.

My house there had water filtration, I can't speak to that, either.

It's warm all year, there's tons to do. The people are friendly. The food is terrific.

It's only oppressive if you come them from somewhere not hot. Move there in February, don't over air condition and it's fine. I ran a 5k everyday during the summer, it feels good to sweat.
