So the Browns move up one spot to take probly the third best CB? That is why you are the Browns.

As for the Lions, I figured they would find a way to fuck up their first pick. At least they didn't take Incognito 2.0 (Lewan).

This is why I love the first round of the NFL Draft. Tons of melting.

It was great seeing Manziel working on his tight spiral..........downward. Cleveland and that douche deserve eachother. Maybe LeBron can come back now, too? He will be a total bust, of the Ryan Leaf type.

Raiders: K. Mack @ #5 overall

Are they switching to a 3-4?
They claim they are not.
If they're not, I like the pick even less than I did when I assumed this meant that they were switching to a 3-4.

I don't think Mack is worth #5 overall if you're playing him at DE in a 4-3.
If he's playing OLB in a 3-4... maybe.
Maybe.

I know about the freak physical specimen aspect, but the small school thing makes me wonder.

Beyond that, R. McKenzie (year 3) still has no QB of the future for the staff to be grooming and growing.

Manziel TORE UP the best conference in college ball as a freshman and sophomore.
He was in your lap.
QB is the most critical position on the field.
You pass.

Count me among those who think J. Manziel can be a special player.
He's a rare guy who can create offense by his lonesome.

I'm well aware of the potential "issues" and red flags with him, but I would have pulled that trigger.

Out of 16 defensive players taken in the 1st round. Almost a third came from one conference. Seems like a fine showing to me.

BTW, if you're trying to make some vague point that SEC defensive players suck, you might do it in a year where a SEC DE didn't go #1.

It kind of reinforces your image of idiocy.

I feel great considering that not only did Dallas get the most versatile 0-lineman in the draft, but an athletic, explosive pass-rusher (Demarcus Lawrence), plus a good OLB and a sure-handed WR (Street) who is another weapon for Romo. Street had more catches at Pitt than Fitz did, bitch.

So far an awesome draft for the Cowboys.

I think the draft show and all the hype leading up to it is lame and to some of the kids, downright demeaning. It certainly could be done with a lot less fanfare and hoopla, but of course the horse it out of the barn now.
If the draft was shit canned altogether, what would replace it? I'm trying to picture 32 teams trying to stock players without one or something like it.

Pretty much the same thing that happens with the rest of college grads except no resumes are needed - they become free agents and sign with whatever teams makes them the best offers, which isn't necessarily the most $$. Some kids may want to stay close to home or play for certain teams or coaches. If the team they want to play for makes an offer they like, they sign. Obviously, some players will get plenty of offers, some won't. There'd have to be signing deadlines, and offers would have to be non-binding and flexible because teams would make offers to multiple players at the same position. Once they sign who they want, the other offers for that position would either be pulled or modified. It would be messy, but it wouldn't lock players into having to sign with one team. The league would hate it, and of course it'll never happen.

Lots of things that generate revenue are "unnecessary." The NFL draft gets higher TV ratings than the World Series. It's not going anywhere.

So far an awesome draft for the Cowboys.
By all accounts, the Cowboys draft was considered average at best. They may have gotten a lineman who is "considered" versatile, but not the best, as that lineman went to the Rams. The point of all this is you placed your chicken neck out on the line by proclaiming Dallass was going to draft Johnny Manziel. Your pathetic little prediction, once again, has been trashed. Now, I expect you'll back away like a bitch from the Manziel pick like you always do. Just pretend like you never said it.

Own up to your stupidity like a man.

Hell, Michael Sam has more integrity than you do.

How does it feel knowing a 'mo is more relevant and owns up to his own honesty more than you ever will?

Penis King was orgasming in his post draft column. It was the lead story of the draft as far as he was concerned.
