KC's gonna get throttled by Oakland's front 4.
Seriously.

The Raiders showed a toughness up front on both sides of the ball v. SD that was a pleasant surprise.
They really manhandled the Chargers up front for most of the night.

Seldom does a home team do that and still come away with a big fat L

Leave it to the 'duds.

KC won't produce much v. the Raider defense.
And we saw Russell and the young receivers struggle on Monday night.
So we're loooking at a low scoring game.
But the Raiders will run the ball better than the Chefs.

Oh hell no.

The ghost of Marty Schottenheimer will reappear and remind this current bunch of misfits that it IS, indeed, Raider week.

Time for a win.

Yea, I think with the release of Bike McTurd yesterday the Chefs are gonna be fired up (or fired) for this one. I'd breaak down the entire game but I need to change the air in my tires.

Croyle or Cassel, it doesn't matter. The QB starter of the Chefs will be lucky to have his teeth in place after this one.

JaMoolie can't hit the broad side of a barn from 20ft. away....Jarrod Page and the Chiefs' secondary are already drooling at the prospect of picking his dumb ass off early and often.

The Chiefs' D will undoubtedly BRING IT on JaBlimpy and the Raydahs' running game, daring the Big Guy to throw it. I like our chances in that scenario- the Raydahs' receivers (NOT named Zach Miller) can't catch a cold much less a pass.

The Raydahs' D, while improved, won't play as well inside the friendly (for US) confines of Arrowhead Stadium....LJ will have a fairly productive day and wear that Primer and Soot unit down as the game progresses. And WITHOUT A DOUBT the Chiefs are better coached and ran:

Chiefs'- 23
Faiduhs- 13

About the only part of Paul's take I agree with is that Russell was pitifully innacurate v. the Blots.

I don't see much evidence that Johnson will "wear Oakland down" as the game goes on.

Was it his 11 rushes for 20 yards last week that convinced you of that?
Or was it the fact that Oakland looked VERY impressive in shutting down the SD running game last week?
Or maybe it was the fact that KC ran for exactly ONE first down all game v. the Crows?

I also don't see any evidence supporting a take that KC will shut down Oakland's running game.

The Ravens ran over you for 200 yards.
Oakland clearly did a number on SD on the ground before Cable thought it was a brilliant idea to start letting Russell clank it around.

Bottom line, you're seriously delusional, and it'll be a long sad day at Pointyhead.

And then.
The Ravens ran over you for 200 yards.
See if you can figure out why the 1st stat led to the 2nd.

Hint: Look at the time of possesion.

Stats can play games with our minds, yes.

I would bet (if I was a bettin' man) that Oakland will run for over 100 yds in this game and KC won't.

I've never jocked him.
I've always been measured with my takes on him because he's 24 years old and started all of 17 games in his short career.
I think it's reasonable to give him some time to grow.
Now if you've got such a keen eye that he can already declare with certainty that he's a complete failure, sure, feel free to continue to fire off your canon in here about him.

I'd warn you, though, that the list is LONG of young QB's who pretty well SUCKED DICK early on, but then "figured it out" and became really really good.

Russell hasn't thrown a lot of picks because he tends to not put the ball up for grabs.
He still holds the ball a little longer than he should sometimes, but that's common for a young QB.
Also common for a young QB to throw picks.
But not Russell.
He's ahead of the game in that regard.

But he doesn't have to be accuare because the only passes he will make on sunday are the 5 yard screens for an overhyped Chief defense, and his occasional 20 yard dart to Zach Miller.

Other than that its a heavy dose of McFadden and Bush and that'll be the difference in this game.

Probably the wrong choice of words. Maybe amped up, or overly aggressive defense would have been the right choice of words. I am a freakin engineer not an english professor.

Not all QBs are 65 pct dart throwers like a Troy Aikman.
QBs have different styles and strengths.

John Elway was a 57 pct passer for his career, and for the first ten years of his career he was in in the low 50s.
PLUS he was throwing a lot of picks.

Russell's first year as a starter last year was a total clusterfuck.
Head coach shitcanned in mid-stream, new playcaller, VERY weak receiving corp, poor protection, and a team in disarray.
And now this year his best WR target, C. Shilens got hurt and he was looking at two rookies and a 2nd year guy in the slot v. SD.

Uphill battle for a rookie QB, to say the least.

If you watch, the one guy he HAS been able to build a "relationship" with, Zach Miller, he seldom misses.

I've slammed Russell for being overweight and appearing "slow" in a lot of things, but I HAVE definitely seen improvement from him over the 17 games he's started.

He's got to play better, no doubt, but I'm a long way from throwing him out as garbage.

bwaaa ...

Nice game management by the rookie Chef head coach at the end of the first half.

Don't leave points on the board in a close game like this.

Dogshit performance by the Raider offense in the first half.
Dogshit offensive gameplan.
Dogshit QBing.

Jeebus, that was probably the most pathetic pro football game I've ever watched. Just painful.

You just knew KC not getting points at the end of the 1st half was going to come back to haunt them.

And how do you a let a QB who just got sacked by his own O-lineman beat you? You get called for a late hit, that's how. And then you only rush 3 on the next play, drop 8 into the "prevent" and let some guy get wide open 30 yards down the middle of the field.

Congrats, 'duhfan, I guess.... your retards aren't quite as inept as our retards.

Todd Haley clearly needs to learn how to manage the clock better at the end of each half. And the late hit call on Gilberry was BULLSHIT- JaBlimpy wasn't even fucking touched when he jumped on him. GODDAMN the officiating was fucking horrible today as well- they fucked us on numerous calls throughout the day. :brad:
