OCmike's Humpday Challenge

Post by OCmike »

OCmike's Humpday Challenge

There is only one rule: No more than one correctly answered question per person, per hour.

1. How many men have walked on the moon?

2. What is the reference density for specific gravity?

3. Who was the winning QB in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl?

4. Which former Oklahoma Sooners’ coach had only one arm?

5. When were the current college football overtime rules installed?

6. Who was the host of "Match Game PM"?

7. How did Ray Combs, former host of the Family Feud, die?

8. What does FIFA stand for?

9. Who was the original host of "The Daily Show"?

10. Who was a former Colonel of the 9th infantry who led troops at the Hurtgen Forest in WWII and, much later, became the commander of US troops in Vietnam?

11. What did Russian soldiers call the Pak 3.7 cm anti-tank gun used by Romanian divisions on the Stalingrad front?

12. What is the correct call by an umpire if a batter hits a foul ball with one foot out of the batter's box?

13. What actor/actress do Stripes, Blind Date and Summer Rental have in common?

14. Who wrote “Ghostbusters”, “Caddyshack”, “Back to School” and “Stripes”?

15. What actor/actress starred in “Dante’s Peak”, “Mars Attacks”, and “The Thomas Crown Affair”?

16. Prior to the arrival of Roz on “Night Court”, two other women played bailiffs on the show. Why did both leave?

17. Which two teams did Tony Dorsett play his NFL career with?

18. Who caught 23 passes for 391 yards in the 1987 postseason?

19. Which NFL team lost 15 games in 1991?

20. What university did Will Clark play his college baseball at?

In SI units the density of water is 1 gram per cubic centimeter at standard temperature and pressure.
In English units I believe that the density of water is 8.33 lb/gal, or 62.3 lb/ft3.

The correct answer is "the density of water", but I guess I'll have to give you credit. :D

Right, Rayburn hosted both (at the time) the morning and evening versions of the show.

Bonus question: In the history of Match Game 78, 79, etc, and Match Game PM, what panelist was chosen as the contestant's partner more than any other for the final bonus game?

Trick question. There is no such thing as a 3.7 mm anti-tank gun. M-16s and .223 rifles are 5.56mm for comparison.

There was a 3.7 cm PAK that was nicknamed the Door Knocker by its German crews, if that's what you're talking about.
Should have caught that error. 3.7 mm wouldn't do jack shit against a tank, 'cept maybe *ping* off the turret.

"Door Knocker" is correct.
