Maine and the Maritimes are nice in the summer. Been there. Enjoy.

I was a bit late taking this. Apparently a wolverine that made good, got the fukk outta that crappy state and bought him an island in Maine. You can see the flag pole but not the American flag and the Michigan flag he had flying.

Those 50 foot tides in the Bay of Fundy are something else. A cause of the "reversing falls" near St. John's. If you go for a dip in the ocean up there, you are in for a chilling experience. The Labrador Current is a cold mother.

I’d like to hear soft in the head’s take on how that flat lying water in the by of Fundy fluctuates 50 feet nd just o happens to do so in sync to the moon. The moon orbiting a spherical earf, ‘splains it perfectly.

As for all the drop dead gorgeous pics of NS you are waiting on, well, you’ll be waiting a while.

We don’t have time to head north east to the Cape Breton highlands are which I suspect have all the gorgeous footage. We drove down the south coast to Lunenburg.

It was nice enough. Mahone Bay was nice too, but to be honest, coastal Maine is nicer.

So we decided to head back to Maine today, a day early.

We
Did drive alone a bit of the NB coast. It was very nice.

South Coast, between Halifax and Lunenburg. Didn’t get any pics of Lunenburg because, well, it wasn’t really all that.

Today we are back in the land of over-priced healfcare, and we decided to stop in to one of my favorite spots on the planet, Acadia NP.

If there’s a pretty stretch of coastline, I ain’t seen it yet. And yes, I’ve seen Big Sur and the rest of the left coast.

Big Sur is bigger, for sure, but not prettier, IMO.

Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor is one of the neatest places around. I need to get back up there before I check out.
May go to the October 25 U of Maine Homecoming/Football game and ad that as a side trip.

I will be spending a week in Acadia in 3 weeks. Thanks for whetting my appetite 'holic.
