One bourbon......one scotch.......

I been working on becoming a lush bourbon drinker, like my buddy Goobs, for close to 6 months now.

Can't really say I am quite there yet. I mean I really love the nice warm after glow and have from the start, but I am still trying to convince myself that this shit tastes good. And I think I have solved an important part of the puzzle. I just listened to Johnny Lee and decided to incorporate beer into the equation. I don't have any scotch, so we'll save that for another time.

Rather than just sipping my walthen's without any prep, I decided to try a good swig of heavenly Northern Vermont nectar. No, not Maple Syrup, but Heady Topper. Fukking Bernie Bro Hippy Vermonters aren't good for much, but the ones in Stowe that work at The Alchemist brewery make one of the best IPAs on the planet. It's got a typical IPA hoppy bite to it and when you follow it up with a different type of nectar made in Kentucky, it is motherfukking magic!!!!

Rack Vermont Hippy micro-brewers and their cousin fukking bretheren from Kentucky. And fukk queerland for his inevitable take about how this stuff is shit and is consumed for the sole purpose of getting molared.

It coming into gin & tonic season for me. Of course, beer is always welcome. The whiskeys and bourbons have never appealed to me. Probably has to do with making myself sick from Southern Comfort as a young teenager.

Why not just pour the IPA into a mug, the whiskey into a shot glass, drop the shot glass into the mug, and chug the whole mess. Frat-boy wannabe.
