Rooting interest and reasoning for Monday night...

Post by Left Seater »

So today as we were delayed for hours departing NYC a discussion broke out about who we were rooting for on Monday night. I was surprised at a few years of the answers so figured we should all put it on paper before kickoff.

I am rooting for Clemson. I have no hatred towards Bama just would like to see Dabo get the W as I respect what he has done at Clemson.

i guess if pushed i'd pull for Clemson. i always liked Brent Venables.....he lived around the corner from my pops when he was at OU. good guy, by all accounts.

i don't consider that "reasoning"...i just want to see a good game.

Not particularly a fan of either team. But yeah, Clemson - just because.

I'll be rooting for Clemson because they're not Alabama. But honestly WGARA.

Definitely Clemson.

Kind of odd saying that as Alabama's equipment truck is parked outside my window since they are using our practice fields for the week.

Not bored, or tired, of Alabama winning.

I still haven't forgotten Nick Saban's highly inflammatory, and even more erroneous, comments about USF when we rose to #2 in 2007.

Rooting interest: Clempson
Reasoning: They're not Bama

Although the annual "obese rednecks posing with the NC trophy at Walmart" pics to surface if Bama wins would be a nice consolation.

Rooting for Alabama.

Mostly cause I'm trying to win the argument with a bunch of friends that Saban will go down as teh greatest CFB coach of all time.

to get there he needs to win a few more NC.

?????

Have you ever been to South Carolina?

Same freaking concept... maybe even redneckier.

I'll go with Clemson, since Saban is an even bigger douche than Dumbo.

Actually, I want the Sabot to win this game so he will have more MNCs than The Bear.

Then maybe he will go the fuck away.

I've never encountered any rancid smelling shirtless dudes up here. I think that says more about the company you keep.

They were probly just trying to blend in.

Actually, I like Alabama always have and right now they kind of remind me of the 90's Nebraska run but better, so total respect.

Clemson has built a nice program, kind of the underdog and hard not to root for them.

All and all as a college fan I just wanna see a good game.

May the best team win.

No - didn't hang with them - they were just fucking everywhere...
Well, you obviously got close enough to smell them. And how did you know they were all from the north, were you checking IDs?

I'm gonna get to the bottom of this made up story.

I know how that works. But I'm trying to imagine a scenario in which it would be a common occurrence to be close enough to a bunch of shirtless dudes that I can hear and smell, but I'm not "hanging out" with. I'll go with truck stop business transaction.

No real rooting interest, hope to see a close hard-fought game, which I believe will happen. I think Bama squeaks one out, but who knows.

Just glad the CFP doesn't force a 3rd place / consolation game, not sure I could watch that.
