Sucks for USF, just when things were turned around here.

I figured he would stick around for 1 more season with the players we have coming back.

I wish him well and am thankful he has made this a much more attractive job than it was when he took it over.

The Ducks better hope he's more of a Dagny-type than a James.

Not quite the huge flashy name some were looking for, but seems solid. He'd be very wise to keep some of the position coaches, some of whom have been there 30+ years. Not sure if he'll show Brady Joke the door. He's got a ton of talented sophmores to work with next season... seniors, not so much.

The Quacks will be back.

Very good question. I think it's what the fans expect. But he'll do whatever Uncle Phil tells him, I'm sure.

We had one of the best offenses in the country. I believe we had the quickest scoring drive efficiency.

First day on the job (not even sure the contract has been signed yet), and he might have just poached a 4 star DE from Florida (Gator verbal).

I think I might warm up to Coach Taggart pretty quickly.

As long as he hires a good defensive staff (shouldn't have to worry about the $$ to hire) he will be fine. Our D prevented us from winning AAC this season. Losing Tom Allen to Indiana after last season really hurt us.

Rumor has it that he's courting Charlie Strong to be the DC.

This is getting interesting... and expensive. But a certain shoe maker said he'd catch the bill for the buyouts, so bring it on.

He needs to keep Gary Campbell (RB Coach, ridiculously good recruiter and coach), who said he might retire regardless of what happened with Helf, and Steve Greatwood (OL Coach). Not like Oregon recruits the best-of-the-best OL, yet the NFL is chock-full of Duck OL.

I know our AD met with Charlie Strong yesterday/today.

Would love to see him at USF. He's about the only guy who can recruit for USF better than Taggart did.

And let's get it out there -- a black HC (plenty of black position coaches in the past) will be helpful getting black recruits to lily-white Eugene.

I cannot imagine that Strong wont be the USF head coach. Too many roots here. Would not be surprised if the deal is sealed within a week.

Actually, got a pretty good crop this year... compared to normal, at least.

would be a great get. feeling in Boulder is JL will get a big pay bump to stay another year at CU. only a matter of time until he looks for/is offered another HC position. i think he can wait for the right gig. feels like a lateral move to me to UO at the end of 2016 but hey....like i say would be a great get for the Ducks...if only or a year or max two.

Yes, it is.

And CU wasn't going to offer the same money for a DC as U of O, since Uncle Phil is on a spending binge.

Willie T already getting big recruits, in impressive numbers for 4 days' worth of face-to-face recruiting.

As a longtime Ducks fan, I'm not used to this.

We'll be back, sooner rather than later.

Oh hellz yeah -- Oregon's (arguably) 2 best players were both juniors -- RB Royce Freeman, and LT Tyrell Crosby.

And they're both coming back. Crosby anchoring the 4 sophmores-to-be on OLine should be pretty solid.

We'll be back.
