Screwball's mega London/Norway/Russia PET
By popular demand, I bring you the PET from my trip to London and Norway from two weeks ago and my trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg last summer. I went on a jizzmopping trip to London and our crew also stopped in Bodo and Oslo, Norway, for business before heading back to DC.
This is the hotel we stayed at in London, in the Waverly neighborhood. $400 per night.
They are fired up for the NFL in London!
Bad ass cars outside the hotel. I saw more Lamborghinis in an hour in London compared to my eight years in...where else?
We made a stop in Oxford. Here is the CH-47 that took us there.
UK MoD Fallon and US Defense Secretary Carter
Entrance to a Tube station in London.
Riding on the subway in London.
We attended the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial at some important UK building in London. The sun was out both days.
We flew on a C-17 to Bodo, Norway, a historic Norwegian military town of about 50k.
A Norwegian F-16 escorted us into Bodo.
More Norwegian F-16s.
Great view of Bodo from our hotel.
Another nice view of Bodo
Had local beer for brewed for Bodo's 200th anniversary.
Carter and his crew and his Norway counterparts took a trip on some of these boats.
Then we flew to Oslo for a press conference with Carter and his Norwegian counterpart, Ms. Søreide
This is Ms. Søreide
Then we flew back to DC on the E-3B, Carter's jet.
These are the popular tourist item, the nesting dolls, that you get from Russia. I found these Moscow.
We took a train from Moscow to St. Petersburg the weekend we were there. St. Petersburg is cool but I prefer Moscow.
Inside St. Petersburg subway station.
Flower store inside St. Petersburg subway station.
St. Petersburg has great riverfronts.
Hermitage museum in St. P, an important place.
It was Flag Day in St. P.
This is for the local KHL team in St. P, CKA. Paverl Datsuk and Ilya Kovalchuk play for this team.
Church on the Spilled Blood in St. P.
Lenin statue outside Gorky Park in Moscow.
View of Moscow financial district from outside Gorky Park.
Giant vending machine outside Gorky Park.
Artwork from inside Moscow subway station.
The famous St. Basil's Cathedral in Red Square.
One of the bulbs on SBC.
Russian memorial for WW II outside the Kremlin.
Russia's version of the eternal flame.
Map of neighborhood we stayed in north Moscow. Beautiful neighborhood, but few amenities.
Inside a Moscow subway station.
The Dinamo station had beautiful engravings of athletes inside on the walls.
Here is the CSKA hockey store I bought some stuff at. It is right next to their huge main facility in NW Moscow.
Playground in park next to our hotel in Moscow.
Our neighborhood had these long narrow parks in it.
Restaurateur next to our hotel in Moscow.
This is where you buy your Putin shit at SVO airport before you head home.
Rack me!

Nicecollection of donloaded interweb pics PET.
Didn't know the SecDef had a jizzmopper on staff.
And what exactly was the purpose of this boondoggle besides burning through a fair number of millions of the Chink's dollars?
Rack you for getting in on that boondoggle. I was fortunate enough to get in on a few to Pearl Harbor about a decade ago.
