The Longest Yard

Post by Funkywhiteboy »

I don't plan to see it, mainly 'cause I think the last TV commercial for it
has given away the best bits.
Sandler and Rock make wisecracks, and Rob Schneider in the stands
shouts, "You can do eet!" :P
“If you look at folks of color, even women, they’re more
successful in the Democratic Party than they are in the white, uh,
excuse me, in the Republican Party.” (NPR Interview Of Howard Dean

i don't plan to go see it since it appears to glorify anti-authoritarian themes. in times as such, i firmly believe that we need young people to acknowledge the higher power and that God has entrusted us with a strong leader like the President.

Why would I go to a flick to see "the longest yard"? I watch that on every third down.

Sincerely,

I saw it last night. It was ok. It had its moments. Clearly not as good as the original. Chris Rock was funny in it,and Kevin Nash was pretty good as the guard who gets his steriods switched with Estrogen pills.

Saw it today. Not as cheesy as I thought it would be. Rock by far played the best role. Its sad though to see Burt's career is one movie away from the graveyard.

And Burt's toupee is one good gust away from blowing off his wrinkled dome.

Saw it. Liked it, as did the OL. Chris Rock is great and Sandler pulls off his role well. The only thing I didn't like is that the film was advertised so heavily that I'd already seen a lot of Chris Rock's lines. Still funny though and worth the $8.

Oh, and Bill Romanowski is fucking nuts.
