Well for some reason---listening to tunes here was not working tonight. Barflie did his best to troubleshoot, but "it" happens. Maybe next Thor's Day.

Sorry 88 but the banners for the board and the radio banner weren't loading on 4 different web browsers. It was either a board issue or the stream server but even right now the board banner still isn't loading correctly. As wolfman mentioned to me maybe someone forgot to pay the bill

Somebody should have pulled Smackie's passport. Then we wouldn't have these problems. Instead, he is over there having a blast spending peso....errrrr pounds which those g0d damn limeys were nice enough to put on sale just for him. Or did he get there the day before and exchange a bunch the day before they imploded? Damn, that would suck.

The Fallout Shelter is open tonight around 8:30 PM EDT. That is of course, if the "radio" is working. If so, I'll give it a go tomorrow night also, filling in for Smackie. Be there or be a rhombus with 90º angles.

Those of you who drop by TuneTown with any regularity know that I often incorporate themes into my sets, sometimes because of current events, holidays, or some other reason, and often for no discernible reason at all. For instance, since the Republican and Democratic conventions are looming, I assembled some (many) songs for tonight's show with the theme of lies. During the week between shows, I'll drag some songs into my play list as I think of them, and if I come up with an idea for a theme worthy of inclusion, I'll search my library for tunes that fit into it.

Last weekend, for no apparent reason, I came up with an idea for a theme and put together some songs that related to it. Totally random, nothing had gone on at that point that would lead to a specific reason to play songs with that particular theme other than having heard a song on the radio that reminded me of it, so I added several songs to the play list for tonight's show with that theme in mind.

After including the songs in the list, an event occurred during the past 24 hours that makes the theme quite relevant. Makes me wonder if I'm, like, psychic or some shit.

The theme?

Trucks.

Crash on in, or just do a drive-by, for a Nice time tonight in TuneTown.
