Chargers and Raiders Plan Shared $1.7 Billion LA Stadium

Not sure how that is going to work, two teams in the same division, in the same city and stadium. Based on the ineffectiveness of Oakland and San Diego in any type of vision outside of what now exists, I'd say this is probably the most likely outcome.

The planned stadium will be on top of a huge former landfill that's still leaking methane gas.

They should build an enclosed stadium, wait for a couple of weeks, and light a match.

Mark Davis was called out to put up or shut up. This idea forces the Raiders out of the deal and to entice the Chargers to go to the NFC West. If not, it's to bring the Rams back home, which is the original idea.

You can't sell season tickets in Oakland if the fan base doesn't have faith in "Silverspoon" to move the team once again, and it's not happening. So, the Raiders stay put.

Obvious joke here but I'll do it anyways.Wheres he going to get 1.7 billion for a stadium when he can't even afford a decent haircut?its time for the Davis family to sell to people who can afford to run a modern day NFL franchise.

Mark's going to have to sell or move out of Oakland.
Maybe both.

I'm old skool Raider, you must understand.
I couldn't stomach Dennis Allen, Reggie, and even Mark, so I dropped out, JT.

For me, the Raiders died prior to 2012.

I understand that the younger fans in the base have a different view of things.

That's just me.

It's the only super bowl he's ever likely to experience.

That's bullshit and you know it..He is known to own his own ball and has rolled quite a few 300 games.

I'm still a fan but I'm also not as delusional as I used to be.When they win great when they lose its expected. I think they will become winners again but it will be in another city such as LA San Antonio or Duluth because one Oakland talks a good game but they don't have the money to build any stadium and under the current situation good luck attracting a top free agent to that toilet they play in now.Its like college football the best players want to play somewhere they can flush a toilet and not worry about standing in a foot of shit.Theres a reason the Warriors and A's want out of that city as well...

Latest news. The "Citizens Stadium Advisory Group" has a great new plan for a $1.3 billion stadium in Mission Valley.
Without raising taxes, and no public vote needed!!

http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/I ... 48461.html

http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2015 ... -watch-it/

This includes:

$300 million from the Chargers
$200 million from the NFL
$121 million from the city of San Diego
$121 million from San Diego County
$60 million from personal seat licenses
$173 million Chargers rent
etc.
etc.

Nick Canepa, the Union Tribune's head stadium cheerleader claims that the county can "just write a check," even though there's several $billions in deferred infrastructure repairs needed to be done, not to mention an historic drought happening. The Bolts have already said that they're only good for $200 million.

Sorry, I don't see this happening.

Nor can he dress himself. You own the team dude, have Nike send you shirts that fit.

Ever heard of these teams called the Lakers and Clippers? They deal with it 41 times a year, rather than 8.

Perhaps, but if San Diego can make the plan above happen I think the Chargers will stay put. While the new stadium in LA sounds great, it comes at a cost. I believe the two franchises that move in have to sign over 33% ownership of their teams to the Stadium builders, and will likely be splitting stadium revenues with the builders. That's a lot. Any city that can make a local stadium happen, especially without a vote would be the favorite imo. Now we wait to see if San Diego can make it happen. The new Mayor is a step in the right direction.

Edit: Doing a quick Google search I can't find the details i read before. Perhaps looks like the city of carson is going to pay the whole thing? and the Chargers & Raiders don't have to do much? If that is the case they're gone.
