Archive (J/K)

I'm counting down the days to the anniversary of Game 7 of last year's Cup Finals...the last NHL game played. We would've gone an entire year without the NHL and I surprising don't feel as bad as I thought I would.

I'm a lot more fond of Capn Haddock's anniversary than yours, Shoalzie...

But the truth of the matter is, exactly one year to May 4, I was suffering a tremendous hangover after partying away a night that saw the Flames send the Wings packing.

Last spring was so much fun!!

The only good thing about no playoff hockey this year is not having to deal with another Red Wings disappointment.

A year ago I was watching baseball and not the NHL playoffs. Not much has really changed for me

Canucks are always 1rst round choke artists. Say high to that butcher Bertuzzi at the latte shop, m'kay?

Four Years Ago...

The Avalanche won their second Stanley Cup much to the jealousy of the rest of the fans in the league.

Avs can thank the Kings for that Cup. Currently the only thing the Kings have to show for Blake is Aaron Miller.

And then you trump it.

Yeah, I'm very jealous of your team that will break the salary cap with a mere 5 players, of the team that hasn't been able to purchase any more Cups since that one that you still so fondly remember... 4 years ago.... the Cup that has seen 3 new champions since then.

You get no scoreboard for such things.

...the Cup that has seen 3 new champions since then
and how many of those three have been the Flames?

Heh... let me explain:

I was talking about how you can't claim scoreboard for the Avs winning the Cup 4 years ago.

I never once mentioned the Flames, but as they were none of those three teams, the Avs weren't either.

But since you did bring up the Flames, SCOREBOARD, as the Flames are the Western Conference Champions, right now.

See how this works?
