they needed a study for this?

What a surprise. Organic foods are not any more healthy than "inorganic" ones. The next study they need is to find if organic foods are more expensive.
Reminds me of picking corn for dinner in my sister in law's organic garden. It was not easy finding edible ears that were not infested with corn borers or corn smut.
I can't imagine if we had to go back to ancient farming methods.

Maybe your sister in law just needs to learn how go grow corn. Also, "organic" and "ancient" don't mean the same thing.

And if you're going to post smut the NSFW tags would be appreciated.

In some cases, ancient is probably better.

Great. X-rated Hee Haw. Really don't need to see Junior Samples layin' the lumber to Minnie Pearl.

Maybe it's more about Husker cheerleader shenanigans?

Then again, he also said, "corn borers." So, are are talking about putting Huskers to sleep or watching them get super freaky with their crops?

Which reminds me, because my taste in entertainment runs toward the high-brow, last night I was watching Talladega Nights, in which one of the cast members was Michael Clarke Duncan, probably as he was drawing his final breath.

I like to picture Jesus as a figure skater. He wears like a white outfit, and He does interpretive ice dances of my life's journey.

ps: (regarding the thread subject) I don't grow or purchase organic because I have some silly notion that organic = healthier.
i grow & purchase organic because I have some silly notion that not consuming pesticides = healthier.

Gosh..what shocking revelations. This shit has been going on for years. The use of genetically modified seed is far more dangerous and unhealthy than some of the farming methods. It would simply be impossible to supply the food this country needs farmed organically.

I pretty much grow all organically, and with no genetically modified seed sources, although I have used some agricultural grade fertilizers, but with my soil amendment program, will probably stop that next year.

This country has fat mother fuckers waddling around because of the shit they eat, the breads on pizzas, McDeath burgers, and all that other shit are a low grade, high yielding wheat perfectly genetically modified.

Synthetic fertilizers are jsut natural products in an easy to use form. With proper soil health, you can eliminate them. Pesticide residues the article alludes to are "within allowable limits. " Maybe for those honks, but my food is going to have no pesticide residue on it at all.

Here are a couple of good reads if you want to understand how really fucked up this type of agriculture is.

Not to go all Biology 1B on the Swamp Grandpa and shit... but all things in the "energy pyramid" are organic. There's no such thing as picking and choosing in this dept.

Looks like Swamp Rushbaugh may have a little toxic bioaccumulation running through the old noggin.
