Iowa barely beat a four loss D1-AA at home, they barely beat a seven loss Sun Belt team at home, they barely beat a seven loss Michigan team, they barely beat a six loss Michigan St team, they lost at home to Northwestern, they lost the one game they had to win against an anemic Ohio St, they only scored twelve points against DOA Minny...

...but nah, Nebraska would have zero chance against them. Nebraska's WAY worse than Arky St or some D1-AA team.

Jonsense.

Back to your original question:

The biggest dissapointment about ND shitting their panties is that the play of Golden Tate will go largly unnoticed. Without Tate, ND would have only won perhaps 3 games. Check out his stats.

And hell, Michael Floyd seemed to be the better of the two receivers, before he got hurt.

Doesn't matter. Suh was clearly the best player in CF this year, other than maybe C.J. Spiller.

And, of course, Jahvid Bust.

Toby Gerhart. If he played in the SEC, and didn't win the Heisman this year, it would start Civli War II.

If I had a ballot

1. Toby Gerhat
2. Kellen Moore
3. Jeremiah Masoli

Yeah, I forgot about Gerhart.

Okay, if I had a ballot, it'd be:

1-Suh
2-Gerhart
3-Spiller
4-Ingram

Wow, I just realized, there are no QBs there.

McCoy dropped off a bit from yesterday...I can live with Ingram winning the award but I'd vote for Gerhart. Gerhart had a big numbers against his best opposition. If we are to give Ingram credit for coming up big yesterday...Gerhart had a big game against Oregon in handing them their only conference loss. He also had a big game against USC...although this isn't the typical Trojan team we're used to seeing.

3,Suh

Nothing against Ingram but he's not the best player on his team. If he got hurt against FL first play of the game I don't think Bama would have missed him. The players above get hurt, their team's game plans Have to change greatly.

To me, it's not even close:

1. Suh Most dominant Dlineman in a while.
2.Gerhardt

these 2 are head and shoulder above everyone.

Suh has single handily won games for Nubs.

You're joking about McCoy, right? He wouldn't even be considered for my ballot...

1. Suh
2. Spiller
3. Gerhart

best player to not make my ballot would be Ingram.

Make you picks known:

http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/rank?ve ... #topOfList

Of the five finalists, I'd pick:

Gerhart
Suh
Ingram
McCoy
Tebow

Given my choice I'd put Spiller and Moore above McCoy and Tebow.

I'd, of course, vote for Suh No. 1.

Not only did he change games he was in, but he single-handedly changed the futures of the teams he played.
  • - Missouri - Looked to have a pretty good season before he tail-whipped Gabbert over his leg and injured his ankle. He was hobbled all season after that.
    - Texas Tech - They lost the game, but he injured their QB after a sack, Steven Sheffield, who was in crutches for the next game against A&M, which they lost.
    - Texas - He shattered Colt McCoy's Heisman hopes that prior to that game people were willing to give him by default.

ESPN is funny. I love how they were saying it would be some great travesty if Suh wasn't invited to New York and how he wasn't getting the respect he deserved. Ummm, you're in control of the hype machine, you raging morons. McCoy, Ingram, and Tebow - you couldn't take their dicks out of your mouth long enough to even mention Suh's name outside of a draft discussion. Now you watch him play in one game, the final game of the season, and he cracks everybody's top three like you knew what was up all along.

that's one of the great conceits of ESPN. they claim to be opinion leaders or a popular voice, not willful shapers of "opinion" shaped themselves by the political economy of population density, conference affiliation, ad dollars, and fannies on couches in front of the flat screens. that somehow the ESPN dictum is to produce content unsullied by the market, when it's clearly obvious it's quite the opposite.

sit in a crowded sports bar for 20 minutes, and everyone _talks_ like ESPN.

Just to add to your pleasure...I hear another stud D-lineman prospect from Oregon hung out with Suh on his official visit to Nebraska. The name slips me right now. Heard he's the shit, like Suh, tho and had a fabulous time in Lincoln.
