It's Raiders week at Arrowhead!

Post by joe6pac »

This has all the makings of an instant classic. A packed Terrorhead (for a half anyway) (well maybe). Two hated rivals meeting once again. This game could very well determine the winner of the $20 bet that the Raiders number 1 fan Poptart has with the Chiefs Faithfull.

Supposed to be thunder storms so maybe no one will show up, Dustin Colquit will be the game MVP

Time was when a Raiders/Chiefs thread would have 3 pages by now and draw in just about every honk hovering around with it's gravitational pull... I miss those times, but remain undaunted.

I am the only true Chiefs fan... wait... that was in place far, far away and a long time ago... but I loved the reaction. :D

So what do we have here? Buncha' sissy ass fans both licking their wounds after one measley game?

Fuck that noise.

Damon Huard being the starter is a wish come true. Did I not say the best result in NE would be if Croyle got knocked out? Yes, I did... fucking RACK! me. Little did I know that we'd actually be in the game at the time.

Now then, are we supposed to feel sorry for the even more pathetic Raiders and their shit talking (sup James, is your asshole still sore?) brethren?

HELL NO!

Huard throws for 300 yards, LJ rushes for a hundy and one TD, Gonzo and Bowe score two TD's apiece, and the Kansas City motherfucking Chiefs destroy the hated Raiders 38-10.

Sounds like a plan.

Word from Kiffin today is that some of the Raiders tried too hard yesterday, resulting in error.

ummm ....

Somebody pull the kid off the swing set and rub his face in the dirt.

KC v. Oakland:

Both teams run the ball all day long and neither defense really stops them.
Oakland makes a couple more plays in the passing game and wins 24-20.

I'm not sensing much conviction there, but thanks for the try.

How'd McFadden do in his first game. btw? Is he a ROY candidate yet?

Looked pretty good.

9 carries, 46 yds.
1 reception, 11 yds.

Got dinged on a BLATANT cheap shot and had to leave the game.

No flag. lol

So it goes.

Btw, I never called him for ROY.

YOU called him to definitely suck.

Get your facts straight if you want to run your hole.

No Way!

Well, let's hope he's good to go soon enough. Wouldn't want him to miss out on his first Arrowhead experience. Though he's pretty familiar with getting smacked around by Mizzou, this needs to be another memory to file away for posterity's sake.

Until proven otherwise, the Broncos monday night performance is an abberation. Without Merroidman, the Chargers are going to be a few weeks figuring out how it's going to work. Cripple Fight.

Have to agree with one of mvscal's earlier points in another thread.

Sandy Eggo is a slow-starter, even without Norvell. I seem to remember an 0-5 start in the mid-90s that turned into an AFC West title, and I think the Chargers will be fine without the post-cycled Merriman this season and beyond. If Rivers/Tomlinson/Gates can stay healthy, this team will remain in the AFC West discussion.

One out of three.

As long as LT is in the mix, they have a good shot in this weak assed division.

Without him, they're a one-dimensional collection of scrubs who'll be lucky to win six games. And that's being generous.

One of the talking heads, can't recall now who it was, was jocking Thigpen this off-season, saying he was going to be this year's Derek Anderson.

Take that with a grain of ... bacon grease, Chef fan.

Oakland showed NO pass rush v. Dungver and receivers seemed to be open all night long.

You're at home -- what better time to see what the kid can do?

ESPN is reporting that Lane will be fired regardless of the out come of today's game. We are so fucked up, I've never bet against my team to lose a game but since there's no money in it why change!

Yep. Its why Lofton was hired in the first place. I also heard Rathman might be in line for the job too.

Where do I start?

Eseentially, Kiff sealed his fate earlier this week when he flat out confirmed what we all knew: That Ryan AND Al run the defensive side of the ball, and he has no say over that or personel decisions. Ryan then had a press conference where he lashed out at Kiffin for basically being called a "yes man" and a "puppet" to Al (even though he really IS a fucking "yes man" and a puppet to Al) and blamed the loss on his horrid fucking defensive scheme. (which would lead me to believe two things at this point-that he truly does fucking suck at his job, and that his "yes man" persona kicked in and he took the bullet for Al's defensive calls)

Some may call Kiff a "whiner", and to some degree I would go along with that-but he had no other choice but to use the media at this juncture to show what is really going on with our Oakland Raiders. Its known that Al has closed his door on him, and Kiff wanted to kick Ryan's dumbass to the curb after last year, so no dice there either.

To sum it all up, Kiff is getting fired because he isnt a brown nosing yes man who's willing to go along with Al's patented "loser blueprint" of picking his own shit subpar players and using his own antiquated schemes.....

Kiff could've definitely handled it better, and when he matures a little more he probably will-as the Chiefs/Bolts coach.

Mark it down-if Edwards gets the boot and Kiff wants to stick it hard to Al (like so many former coaches have done), our division will now have 3 previous coaches under Al who will be kicking his cunt in year in and year out. Nice fucking legacy, old man.

Fuck Al Davis.

Its a damn shame he's destroyed the franchise the way he has.

And literally a half hour after I post about this, here it is:
profootballtalk wrote:DAVIS ORDERED RYAN TO REBUT KIFFIN
Posted by Mike Florio on September 14, 2008, 11:51 a.m.
When Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan launched into a tirade during which he declared his respect for the chain of command and then violated it by bitching publicly about his boss, coach Lane Kiffin, we presumed that someone higher up in the chain of command than Kiffin had compelled Ryan to do it.

And, for a change, this blind squirrel is feasting on acorn.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that owner Al David “ordered” Ryan to meet with the media and rebut Kiffin’s suggestion that Ryan deals not with Kiffin but with Davis when it comes to the defense.

We do we have a feeling that Kiffin will soon be working as an unpaid offensive consultant with the Broncos?
Yeah Slob Ryan, you arent a fucking puppet or yes man.

Rich Gannon is one of commentators for this game.....and he's Raider homering it and getting excited.

RACK

Man, I miss the hell out of that Silver and Black bleeding cat. I'd love to see HIM become our head coach and tell Al to shove it up his ass when tried to meddle (which he would in a fucking heartbeat-the man doesnt even recognize the words "taking shit from anyone", let alone ever be caught dead doing it.)

I love the way the motherfucker used to grab/scream/disgustingly call timeouts when players werent in the right formations.....thing of beauty, that was.

Gru didnt run the offense-Gannon did. The guy is literally a member of Mensa, and I have no doubt he'd be a great coach.

Wont matter. Burgess is back to being 100% healthy, and that means he's back to being a top 5 pass rusher.

Kiff should be fired at halftime. He is misusing the FUCK out of DMac.....then again, what did I expect from the twat that uttered this after our Monday night beatdown:
Lane Kiffin wrote:He praised the rookie for running hard and taking gains that were there, rather than trying to bounce everything outside “make everything a 50-yard run.”
Yeah, why play to a guys strengths and risk getting a touchdown when you can get 3-4 yards in a cloud of dust?

Watching this is enough to make one swear off football. I feel sorry for the poor schmucks who are witnessing this in person. I bet half the seats are empty before the 3rd quarter even starts.

Why the fuck did they take Huard out? Thigpen wouldn't even make a decent Arena League QB.
