Oklahoma Big 12 Regular Season Champions

Post by OUMO »

Heh, I know it is a co-championship and we have won some Big 12 automatic bids in the Big 12 tourny, but hell it has been about 15 years since OU has a regular season championship.

It's NOT a co-championship 'cause we beat Kansas head-to-head, right?

Congrats, Wags. Good win.

Not so fast, Skippy.

Co-Champions.

The Big XII does not have any tie breakers in place for determining their champion during the regular season. The only place that tiebreakers come into play is for Big XII postseason tourney seeding. So, the head-to-head win vs. KU only applies to your tourney seeding.

That means that your school is going to have to share the regular season honors with KU, like it or not.

Call it what you like. You say "co-champs," I say "71-63." Tomato. ToMAto. Whateva... It only takes one to make a ring...

Although I'd like to seal the deal at the "neutral site" of the Conference Tourney.

Not what I'm calling it... it's what the Big XII calls it.

My god, I'm amazing. I said Kansas was overrated and that OU was the best team in the Big-12. And I called my shot in early January. I hate being right all the time.

You couldn't be less right if you were BizzaroRushLimbaugh... and the fact that you probably DO think you're right "99% of the time" makes ME think you're on his pills...

Did he tell you that? He said he would keep it a secret. That son of a bitch!

And I am usually right with my predictions. I said OU was the best team in the Big-12 and would win the Big-12 back in January? Was I right? Yep. I said Kansas was way overrated. Was I right? Yep. I said Jason White was way overrated last year. Was I right? Yep. Etc, etc, etc.....

Some nights, I cry myself to sleep knowing that, no matter how hard I try, I just can't ever be wrong. It tears me up inside. No one seems to understand my pain. Comfort me, Skull! Comfort me!

Only part of Jon's posts I believe to be true.
"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

Pretty sad that a team barely cracks the Top 25 and they tie for the BIG 12 reg season title. Nice fucking conference.

I am a huge fan of college basketball and my opinion of OU basketball is that they are vastly overrated. I saw them lose 3-4 in a row a couple weeks back and yet its like they cannot go lower than #20. They are vastly overrated. Who cares if they beat the SEC champ? Is that supposed to be a good conference? They have one dominant team and even that team is no better than a #2 seed.

Cicero...board scholar dude...BIG fan of college basketball....rather than ragging on the Big XII or SEC, howz about you tell me what team/conference sack YOU swing from, eh?
I hate sigs. But I lost a stupid fucking bet because a KC Paul lookalike and his sorry ass team were inferior to the greatness that is the Pittsburg Steelers.

And what is your connection to Duke, other than being a bandwaggoner who more than likely didn't attend that university?

My father went, and he brought me up on them.

But lemme guess...

Your father, who brought you up on Duke basketball, ALSO brought you up watching Florida State football?

No?
