Yahoo! League Sign Up...

Post by Shoalzie »

Just created a league...for now, I have it at 10 teams but I'll take no more than 14. The tentative draft time is Friday, September 29 at 9:00 p.m. (EDT).

In!

Or let me correctly say that, wife is in. Shes' going to be the GM this year, I'm going to be the intrusive President, CEO, & Team Owner. We've modeled our formula for success after the Islanders. Just call me Mr Wang.

We're Half Cocked.

Damn straight!

A nice long one too...the rosters will consist of 12 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goalies, 3 bench slots...just like a regular 23 man NHL roster. I will have it where you can have up to 5 players on IR to compensate for the small bench. I don't like the idea of having forwards by position so it is opened up to just strictly forwards...that'll allow more flexibility. However, faceoff wins will be a stat in the head-to-head so it'll help to have plenty of centers on your roster.

If the league fills up, let me know so I can expand the league...14 teams maximum as I stated before.

I'd be interested in playing, but I wouldn't be able to make the live draft.

When is a better time for you? I want to keep the draft in that last week of September...before the season starts of course.

If you're looking to draft in the last week of September, then any evening would work outside fo Friday. Damn the home Friday college football games (sarcasm).

Cool deal...

I changed the maximum number of players up to 14 since we're currently at 9 players. 14 is the absolute most we should have...the draft will take forever if we go with any more. I'll be drawing the draft order when the league is filled up. I'll announce when I do that.

We're sitting at 11...I changed the max to 12 teams. Hopefully we can at least get one more to play. Maybe I can get a hold of Blitzkrieg or some of the other casual posters to fill out the league. If anyone wants after we get to 12, I won't open the league to them unless there is are two people who want in to get us up to the max of 14.

Welcome aboard! That gives us an even dozen...thank you for that. For any other participants, I'll only let in more if there are 2 more players. I think 12 is a good number to stop at but I'm not against 14 to include as many people as possible. Hard to believe training camp is just weeks away... 8)

I opened it up for 2 spots...I told Blitzkrieg he could have one of the spots and fenway wanted in already. UCant...I can go up to 16 teams, I'd like to get everyone in one league but I don't know how effective a league this big will be. I might have reduce the roster sizes.

Awesome...we've got a great group together for this league, I'm really looking forward to it. Hard to believe camps are starting and NHL 07 is in stores today...hockey truly is just around the corner. 8)

UCant wants in also...I'll open it up for two more but that's got to be it. It probably would've been smarter to go with two leagues but I think it would be more interesting with one big league. I'm just going to reduce the roster sizes because the draft will take forever. I don't think anyone would be up for 368 picks (16 teams - 23 players each). I'll open it up now so you and UCant can get in and I'll cut down the rosters.

The draft is tomorrow and we have 15 teams. Is someone willing to leave and play in the other league that Rack Fu has started? adel had to leave because it couldn't change the draft time on Sunday to a later time in the evening. If we can't get the league to an even number, I'll change it to rotisserie scoring so we don't have to deal with anyone having to be on a bye each week.

You just had to schedule this during a Lions' game, didn't you? :D

Gonna be tough to crane my neck to pay attention to both.

Then again, the Lions will probably be out of the game by the time this starts.

Why would a Calgarian be a Lion's fan?

I don't even know why I'm a LionFan and I live in state. If you have the choice of teams...I wouldn't recommend anyone pick the Lions unless you like be disappointed.

Once again, great draft everyone...good luck this year!

Well it's not like I can cheer for Calgary!!

When I was a youngun and looking for a team, a young yet thrilling Barry Sanders caught my eye. The day he retired, I considered switching allegiances, but decided that just wouldn't be right. So to this day I stick with those infuriating Lions.

I think now the only thing to cheer for is the perfect season. 12 losses to go!!!
