Texas/Texas Tech

Post by MgoBlue-LightSpecial »

Tech is a 15.5 point dog in this one? Even with Buckman being out for Texas (well, questionable for today). I'm thinkin about laying something down on this game. That's a big spread. T. Tech isn't where they want to be right now, but I don't just see them lying down in this game. That's where you Big12ers come in since I don't know much about your teams...is this a "safe" bet?

I don't know man, asking advice from the board seems a little risky. I agree with you and am half tempted myself w/ such a large spread.

I went with it. I don't bet large anyway...sall for fun and to make the games more interesting. Plus, I've been on a tear recently...7 of 8 straight wagers.

At 15.5 I'd take Texas. Pomeroy says Texas by 21; Sagarin says Texas by about 22.

Good call there ^^^ I was even thinking about taking Illinois at +1 vs IU. Glad I got home too late to drop any bets.

Yeah, that was just ugly. I guess BK is really having a down year.

I also heavily considered Illinois +2, but the Tech pick seemed more lucrative at the time.
