at least, the last couple years MU hasn't started out pre-season top 10 like OU did this year....as MU did for a while in the Golden Years of Coach Q's hair appeal.
MU with a two game winning streak in conference games--both of which OU blew a double digit second half lead.
a far cry from the Tubbs-Stewart tilts of the late 80's.
(not a return to "gawdamnnnit fucking Billy Ball, skeeter frickin' meeter" post, fellow Sooners).

why is Griffin sitting on the bench? Longar, OK. he's worst the FT shooter on the floor in the last minute against NU--so we inbounds in to him instead of calling TO. he played good against Bama--they had big guys in the paint, that was Kelvin's response.
BUt Griffin sitting? Bookout fouls out at Lincoln (all fouls in teh second half), and LL is the worst FT shooter on the team. so, he's playing in the last minute? OU is up two possessions--we don't NEED to score a basket to win, just make the front end....once even. as inept as we are moving on the perimeter and making entry passes, getting fouled is a gift.

Griffen was right at the limit for still being able to redshirt and they weren't positive that they wanted to burn it with the way the season was developing. It's my understanding the decision to play him has been made.
