I have first hand experience with this hormone therapy bullshit.

We were advised by this fucking quack of a pediatric endocrinologist to start my then 11 year old daughter on hormone therapy to block puberty based on his assessment that her bones were growing at a rate such that she wouldn't be any taller than 4'9".

I did substantial statistical research on the therapy that he was advising, and found that there were VERY few data points or empirical evidence to support what he was recommending.

My wife and I said "no thanks".

My now 20 year old daughter ended up at a height of 5'5".

Who knows what the hell would've happened to her had we decided to heed that douchebag's advice.
