Mutha nature is a teasing bitch at the moment in FOC.
Near 70 one day, 12 and snow flurries a couple mornings
later. Enough to drive a man to drink. Exotica, I suspect
will be the bev of choice this evening.
SOS otherwise, gym, honeydo's, grill biz.. will likely mix in
a Sam's Club run. Hoping to talk VagHub into watching
"Run Ronnie Run," this evening. Not sure how I have never
seen this one before.
NASCAR tomorrow .... gotta have a better ending than the
shitty ending last week.

Couple kids' activities today, of which I do not need to go to thankfully, otherwise pretty chill.

I'm thinking winter is unofficially over for my section of FOC. All 50s and 60s for the foreseeable future with some rain chances like we had overnight and will have tomorrow. We have had just 6 inches of snow all season long. But, more rain than usual has made up for it so it's not like we are in a big drought or anything.

So unless something weird happens in March, it appears we won't see snow here for a very long time. Perfectly fine by me. And then there's my parents out in Denver who can't catch a break with that nonsense this season!

Macon is unique. And I mean that as a compliment. The area has such a strong sense of identity it feels like a different country sometimes. It's a great place to do a comedy show. The people are very genuine but you gotta pick the right material. They don't give a fuck about Ray's pizza, for example, but they will howl and roar at a good boat story.

Foothills to the east from the top of our street. I think I’ve seen snow out there maybe once before in 24 years. Palomar Mountain (about 15 miles farther out and 7,000 ft) supposedly got two feet plus. Couldn’t see it this morning because of the clouds.

That's a desert at 7400' near the Jonah gas field in Wyoming. It snowed a foot, got real cold (-30º for three days) and warmed up to a balmy 28º with 40-60mph winds when I took this picture. If you're going to live out here, you better be tough.

For those of you with really good spreadsheets, yes, this is where I'm building a greenhouse with the intentions of growing avocados and oranges. Speaking of, in a couplefew days I'll update the Farmer's Market thread with the energy specs Mikey wanted.

Diego, to your points:

1 - whataboutism indeed. The number of Dem AGs, DAs, etc who are refusing to jail/prosecute violent felons far outnumbers the cases you can point out. The GOP ignoring white collar criminals is just as disturbing, but you’re less likely to lose your legs or life to them.

2 - hell no! Priests teaching kids sex?! WTF?! They would be right there with Karl Malone and R Kelly on a list of no-nos.

3 - if it were only so. Eliminating police is too often suggested.
