BUWAHAHAHA!
My brother has been a business owner down in south Florida for over 35 years.
EVERYONE, except for the 20% left wing perverts and freaks down there, overwhelmingly approve of the governor.

Which leaves you and screw as the lone holdouts who admire and respect, incompetent New Orleans mayor LaToya Jackson, and think DeSantis is a moron.

Congratulations!!! As if you're IQ wasn't low enough already, you continue to drop reminders that it may indeed be lower than what was previously thought.

I guess you are new to the internet. Today, posting links, especially from left wing sources, is as useful as your mom giving BJ's under the pews during Sunday morning services.

We kindly ask that you click on any multitude of news reports from many different sources.
It's so easy and simple, that even a lousy lawyer like you could figure it out.

You fruits have been posting link after bullshit link authored by left wing sources, that now, your links are met with uproarious amounts of mocking laughter.

If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law.
So if Trump vetos a Bill that passed both houses unanimously. What are the odds, in your mathematical mind, that the veto wouldn’t be overridden as specified in the Constitution?

You are epically stupid.
LMAO!

Save your bullshit, son.

You admit that Donald COULD in fact have vetoed the biil.

It was NOT veto-proof, as you declared, you stupid, lying ASS.

If the president had chosen to veto the bill, and explained his reasons for doing so, it would have been him informing the American people of the sham that is taking place.

He, by virtue of being president, would have moved a considerable percentage of the population to agree with his position.

THAT is what he clearly COULD have done.

He signed the bill and that is his stamp of approval.

You ridiculous, lying HACK.
There is NO sham you lying insufferable dolt.

The president's historic signature was an absolute necessity, in order to save the economic structure, which will ultimately allow millions of Americans to return to work immediately in just a couple of months.

This was an historic unprecedented crisis, that left unattended, would've destroyed the entire economy. Leaving millions upon millions out of work.
You're naivete' blocks you from being able to grasp the enormity of this monumental crisis.
And a by-product of your short sightedness, is your complete and utter inability to understand just how vital this legislation is to our entire country.

In my professional opinion, which I very rarely give, by the way. You sir, have terminal TDS.

No, 'tard.

There is no such thing as a veto-proof bill.

The bill itself is not veto-proof, and the very fact that the president CAN veto any bill tells us this.

Save your stupid Merriam Webster bullshit.

There can be a veto-proof majority, however, this would not be know for absolute certain until some time after the president... VETOES... the bill.

What you seek to do is absolve the president of blame, and this is where you are -----> DEAD WRONG.

He signed the bill, jerkweed.

He approved it.
He owns it.

.088 wrote:His signing or not signing was 100% pointless.
No.

If his veto would have been pointless, why is it a procedure that is part of our law?

Well, because it is NOT pointless.

A presidential veto can move the representatives to reconsider their actions -- and it can also alert and educate the people as to the destructive path their elected representatives are taking them down.

Educate the people so that they vote them -----> OUT.

Donald fell right into line like the piddling little puppet boy he is.

And you sucked his tiny little dick again, as usual.

1. You ADMIT that the bill itself can be vetoed. You KNOW that it can be vetoed.

2. If Don had vetoed the bill, it is possible (although it does seem unlikely now) that votes COULD have been reconsidered, such that the 2/3 in both House and Senate was no longer met. Therefore, the bill itself was ABSOLUTELY NOT... veto-proof.

Proof - adj. - impenetrable, impervious, or invulnerable

You are claiming (by using the word proof) that it was IMPOSSIBLE for the bill to be vetoed.

Such is simply not the case.

Nope.

By definition, NOPE.

Guess what? What you're arguing is all a moot point.
As it turns out, AND you will soon find out, THAT bill will have ultimately saved our economic structure in the face of an unprecedented threat.
And was 100% needed to ensure that millions of Americans can return directly to their jobs in just a couple more months.

The fact that you've come out against this historic bill, is unconscionable in light of the alternative situation.
Which would've been a great depression, with over 50% unemployment.

The president's action and leadership, when faced with a worldwide threat, the likes of which hadn't been seen in modern times, will indeed be celebrated and seen as an act of true courage.

I think the bill sucks, but something needs doing now. I do hope that when we get a handle on this BS, congress will do its best to unfukk it.

Every last bit of BS should be carved from it, starting with the Lincoln Center.

Do I have any confidence in this happening?

Nope. Not a bit.

He wants to sell, "Oh woe is Donald. He had no choice here. The bad guys railroaded him and he had no choice but to comply."

pffft...

No sale.

If Donald was on YOUR SIDE, OUR side, he would never have signed that bill.

He would have said, "Are you freaking kidding me??" And he would have sent it back to them, explaining why he did not sign it, and explaining to the American PEOPLE why he did not sign it.

THAT would have been your man.

He is part of the problem and not part of the solution.

This is not difficult.
The only conclusion here is that you must be out of your mind.

We've just established that if this bill doesn't get passed, millions of Americans would be finished,
With no means to pay rent, mortgages, etc....etc...
Businesses would be finished all across the country.
The entire system collapsed.

Now, in just a short while longer, because of the passing of this bill, not only will millions of Americans go directly back to their jobs, but the economy will bounce back even stronger.

Apparently, you had no idea how dire this situation would have been, were it not for the passing of this bill.

Either that, or you secretly wanted the entire economic system to burn to the ground.

Wrong again.
He is on our side.
The left is not on our side.
But in order to avert a collapse of the economic structure, they thankfully came together to avert that.

You were completely unaware of how dire things were.
Either that, or you were hoping for the complete collapse of everything.

There is no such thing as free money unless you make the value of money zero, which is what this sort of irresponsible government behavior is trending toward. This will just be the first round of this kind of crap. Once they break the seal on this moronic proposition, other crises are sure to come along that require similar action. So stupid.
Those who want to pin the entire wasteful Bill on Trump (e.g., Batshit crazy and Lyingland) are ignoring the facts. The Bill is a bipartisan piece of excrement. Both corrupt political parties and Weekend at Bernie's voted for it. You can hate on Trump all you want. It is what you do. But to try to pin something that stupid on him alone is equally stupid. Which is why it is in your wheelhouse, Tard. Carry on.
Bernie signed it because during election years, he has no choice but to drift towards the middle, in order to have any chance at getting elected.
The REAL Bernie Sanders wanted the entire economic system to burn down. And have government control over everything.

Someone on a website far far away said the US is a (shale) oil dependent economy, and if that dependency is threatened by the Saudis and/or Russia providing oil globally more cheaply than the US can refine (shale) oil, then the US is fucked. Is this true?

Do we really have all of our eggs in the oil production basket?

The industries you mentioned are service related. Big O (who thinks it's unnecessary) and Poptart (who thinks it's inevitable) are both right, from different corners: this covid19 shit is going to create permanent changes in how we do things. How do you see those industries coping with certain permanent changes?

No it's not true. Russia does not have the amount of fossil fuels that we have.
It's now estimated that we have hundreds upon hundreds of years of energy on our shores.
We no longer are dependent on saudi oil, or any foreign oil for that matter.
It was once thought that fossil fuels were just about tapped out.
The science and technology now tells us that the earth has fossil fuels for the next millennium!!

The only thing to be concerned about is that our enemies might want to kill us over our wealth of energy.
But honestly? Any such plans or actions on their part, would be suicidal.

- USMCobra's truism of lies being more important than truth, if the lies are for a patriotic cause or are for cultural upliftment (ie.
the lesson of the myth is more important than the historical details);
- Rome not being built in a day, but not falling in a day, either;
- Aelthered 'the Unready' describing his contemporaries, not himself; and
- Ozymandius.

Let the historians play Monday morning quarterback on this one, man. Both major parties fucked us, but it was a fucking 40 years in the making.

Now what?

Why and how does the economy rebound? Things cannot go back to 'normal' after this. This really is 9/11 tier, AOL tier, 60s tier, 1945 tier, 30s tier, 1918 tier, 1890s tier, Civil War tier....

How does a rebound economy unfuck people who were fucked by it?

Oh.
And the service industry?
IT'S not going anywhere.
People will never give up restaurants and travel etc.....
Anyone who says otherwise, is a complete fool.

In this country, we Americans get in our automobiles and cruise this land. We love our freedom.
Left wing socialist government control freaks would love to take our automobiles, because they represent liberty.
The left wants us all bunched together in a train or bus like rats. Wards of the state.
Give us rations every month
Like you give mice some pellets,

No sir.

Trump's rise to the presidency represents liberty.
He's our yankee doodle dandy.
Our "born on the fourth of July"
And our "grand old flag" all rolled up into a giant wrecking ball, to smash left wing tyrants in the mouth.

I've done enough thinking for the both of us.
You asked how the economy rebounds? I've been telling you!

This massive bill will ensure that the industries will resume in just a couple of months. As a result, the millions of people will be able to return directly back to work.
Then, along with the start of the NFL preseason, you're going to witness an economy stronger than ever.

Mark it down and take it to the bank.

So the truth is as foreign to you as a wet and inviting vagina.

You obviously know nothing about our economy.
Do you have any idea the sheer magnitude of this?
Disney, hotels, restaurants, cruise lines, the airlines, bars, clubs, hair salons, schools, etc..
ALMOST every aspect of the economic system is shut down.
You sick fuck.
Without this bill, millions upon millions would not have a job to go back to. And you're calling me an idiot? You low IQ cockroach you

This bill ensures that in a short time frame, millions will be able to go directly back to work.

I'm sick and tired of explaining that to a numb skull like you.

IB.

If we've got all of that wealth, why would oil and gas stockholders tell us oil falling below a certain dollar threshold is bad for the US economy, forcing companies to stop drilling/close refineries because it's not profitable to keep them open, which means laying people off?

If we have all of that wealth, why did so many of our citizens face evictions (illegal or not) today, the first of the month while our two party system fought over how little to give back to each citizen to keep them from crashing and burning?

And I'm asking you how. Just like washing your hands at all is a new normal for China, there will be new normals for the US. The Covid19 bioweapon is aerosolized bat herpes: regular herpes doesn't leave your spinal system, covid19 doesn't leave your body, either.

How does the economy navigate the new normals, and still make a profit?
