spell check for word files

anyone ever heard of a spell check program in word going bad? I have a computer with offic e 2000 and the spell check program ain't working. I reloaded it, it works for a little while, then it starts missing obviously misspelled words.

Are there any decent free spell checks out there?

I'm on G right now. I recall having trouble getting that set up. My router does support A, how do I go about resetting it?

Oh and the computer with the problem has a PCMCIA cards. The laptop just has the slot card, and the lap is doing fine.

ET,

I installed firefox on the computer that is having access problems, and it works fine. I can get to the linux site with no problem, so obviously it is an IE 6 problem, but since all of the obvious settings are as they should be, I have no idea what else could be causing it.

Any thoughts?

I'm not totally happy with my linksys router. I get drop offs constantly, causing me to reboot, unplug the modem and router for 30 seconds, and restart. Pain in the ass. Next router will be a different company.
