Ya'll know mine of course but if my team was down and out (and the usually are) i'm rooting for the next worst team to win-

I don't believe in sports polygomy...pick one team and stick with it. I'm stuck being a Lions fan.

None-I fucking bleed silver and black.

My second favorite team is the one who helps the raiders that week by kicking a rival teams ass.

The closest thing I have to a second favorite team is the team that will make me some money, be it on a money bet or FFL.

Yeah, I have a 2nd favorite team: the Giants.

My family was originally from "downstate" (NYC/Yonkers) and were Giants fans. My extended family still are Giants fans, with a few Jets idjits tossed in (through marriage). I go off to college in '83 and wind up with roomies from Orchard Park, Clarence, Varysburg, Buffalo....over time I wound up converted to a Bills' fan.

I figure that this way I have an NFC team to give a crap about. Keeps it a little interesting. I have no Giants gear or other merchandise.

I rooted for the Bills over the Giants in the Super Bowl. My family enjoyed busting my chops over that.

I absolutely hate the frigging Jets.

The wife's family is from Pittsburgh and those fans remind me of Packer fans, so I guess it's the Steelers

The Packers.

A buddy of mine and my girlfriend are diehard Pack fans and in the 6 or so years I've been more or less rooting for them I've also gained a ton of respect for that team.

Amazing how a city the size of where I live, Arvada,(150,000 or so) can keep a football team for this long. Their fans are one of the things I admire and respect the most about the Packers.

Raider fan here and I have no "second favorite team"

However, the wife is a huge Eagles fan and former season ticket holder so I like to see them win just for household harmony!

I live and die with the 'Skins being a native of the DC suburbs in MD
(mostly die over the past dozen years).
Second favorite, having made a couple vacation trips to Cape Cod
(including the summer '01 honeymoon for SuperFreak and my bad self)
is the Patriots. I say that honestly 'cause I like the area,
not 'cause I'm getting on the bandwagon of the three-time Super Bowl champs.

One of the few things* that I can agree with Gayduh James and other Raider fans is that there is no other team that will be 'my second favorite'.

*The others I assume are a hot grill and a cold beer come game day.

Im calling bullshit on those of you, that say you do not have another favorite team.

Are you also going to try and tell me that you have never been a fan of a team over a period of time, because of a certain player or two? Guys you really enjoyed watching the way they played the game?

Emmitt?
Walter?
Joe?
Jerry?
Randall?
Brett?
Derrick?
Ray?
LT?
TO?

Most of you making this proclamation are full of shit, and you know it. Then again, the one or two of you that really mean it, just really focus all of your negative attention in your own little world, and do not truley appreciate the game for what it is, or how its meant too be played.

I may have a nice meltdown on this topic. Only time and replies will tell.

Guess say all you want, but I have been a true REDSKIN fan since I was little, win, or lose mostly that is my team, but now living in Colorado since 94 I've become to like and follow the Broncos as a 2nd favorite team.

Oct. 9th myself and Zilla will be at the REDSKIN vs. BRONCO game!

Oh. I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that there were actual official rules on what constitutes "real fans."

Where may I find this tome in which the official bylaws and sanctioned behaviors, wardrobe, etc. are listed, along with the dues and penalties for failing to conform to said rules?

Frigging idjit...
