Mvscal your draft was fucking horrible. Who did you take with yoour first pick? Ahman Green? Brett Favre? Your dumbass probably selected Todd Heap with your first pick. The best player on your squad is not a player, but a team defense. That's how sad your team is.

If you think its a decent draft why don't you break down your picks round by round and give a hint of rationalization as to why you drafted such an abortion of a team. This should be hilarious

I didn't have the heart to tell him DF, but you're right--that's a horrible team assuming it was a snake draft.......

QB Brett Farvruh-Could have been worse, but not a great pick
QB Eli Manning-Hope he's healed for the one game you need him for.

RB Ahman Green-Your QB and primary running back are from the same team--you don't see any problem here?
RB Ronnie Brown-untested
RB Duce Staley-if he plays, he'll get some yardage, just no touchdowns
RB Tatum Bell-second string right now

WR Torry Holt-a great receiver
WR Darrell Jackson-Ditto
WR Deion Branch-hit and miss at best
WR Greg Lewis-who
WR Kelly Campbell-Burleson is going to be the main guy
TE Todd Heap-nagging injuries seem to follow him around

K Larry Tynes-C

D/ST Buffalo-one of the premiere defenses.

Overall, I'd give it about a C-

RB-D. Foster
RB-R. Droughns

Before you trash rosters perhaps it would help if the following info was posted with the rosters:

scoring system
keeper league?
where did you draft?
how many teams?

That usually helps in determining how bad a person drafted.

Not bad RJ.

I like the Jordan pick (even if you're a homer), and McNabb/Delhomme is a great combo. Before it's all said and done, I'm guessing you'll be able to parlay Bledsoe into a second level back at some point in the future.

Porter is fighting injuries, so that's a question......

Jim, there is no scoring system whereby mvs team would be considered a good team...unless he's going for the "lowest score" bonus......

Im thinking the same thing....in a league of 16 peeps, somethings gonna give eventually.
Porter is fighting injuries, so that's a question......
Yeah, but everybody absolutely jumped on RB and WR's for thier first few picks-Hence the huge talent dropoff after Owens. Porter being single covered almost all season will pay huge dividends for me-he was worth the pick.

You must play with idiots.
Yep-like yourself, they make stupid fucking reaches and go for the big names first.

Trent Green, Brett Farve, Manning, Culpepper, Bulger, Vick, and Brees were all taken before I got McNabb. Same with Owens, who I got in the second round-Moss, Holt, Harrison, Johnson, Ward and Antonio Gates ( ) were all taken before I snagged Owens.

RB is where I got screwed, since everyone fucking jumped all over those early.

Nothing, it's just blowing your first pick on a wide receiver is not the way to win championships...

Here's one of my teams in a 12 team snake draft. I had the 10th pick overall......

Favre, Brett QB
James, Edgerrin RB
Portis, Clinton RB

Bennett, Drew WR
Wayne, Reggie WR
McMichael, Randy TE
Carney, John K
Broncos, DST

Griese, Brian QB
Arrington, J.J. RB
Houshmandzadeh, T.J. WR
Porter, Jerry WR
Cooley, Chris TE
Seahawks, DST

Julius Jones RB Dallas
Clinton Portis RB Washington
Rudi Johnson RB Cincinnati
Kevin Jones RB Detroit
Donovan McNabb QB Philadelphia
Marvin Harrison WR Indianapolis
Tiki Barber RB N.Y. Giants
Curtis Martin RB N.Y. Jets

Like I say, if you have any openings...........

<Head is Spinning>

I think having a QB go down this year in any of the top five could be damaging to any roster. But I believe Boller this year will have some decent numbers. I've backed up Jackson with Faulk, and have McGahee. Sure Bennett will see different coverages since he's the #1 guy now, but his height is the trump card. I really like Hines Ward, a receiver who constantly and quietly producesin fantasy football. Much like a Tiki Barber.

Portis and JAmes are clerly your strong points. After the Packers game last night keep a close on on Favre, they had hiom iced up after a take down. I think J.J. Arington is your sleeper, Denny Green may have found a running back and they finally have a defense in Arizona to help. Overall I'd give your team a 'B'.

If you think

Jamal Lewis
Corey Dillon

are second tier backs......there is simply no hope for you......

but again, a league that is weighted so heavily to receivers that Holt can outscore every back on that list is not a league I'd like playing in....

Your league is jacked up, but whatever floats your boat. I personally think you're full of shit and that you say receivers are more valuable because thats the only spot on your roster that is respectable (not spectacular). Is there a link we can all visit during the year so we get a good laugh at you getting your ass handed week in and week out?

WTF kind of scoring system is that?

By my estimates, a receiver that caught 10 passes for 100 yards would get 17 points, while the QB that threw those passes would get a total of 2 points......

Damn, I've seen some stupid scoring systems, but that one blows donkey dicks.

I also like the fact that a back gets a half point for a reception.......

12 team league. 23 man roster.

I can start:

QB
WR
WR
WR
RB
RB
TE
K
D
DB
DB
DL
DL
_________________________________________________________

HERE'S WHO I DRAFTED:

QB - JAKE DELHOMME
QB - CARSON PALMER
WR - NATE BURLESON
WR - ROY WILLIAMS
WR - DERRICK MASON
WR - ASHLEY LELIE
WR - DANTE STALLWORTH
WR - JUSTIN MCAREINS
WR - TYRONE CALICO
RB - EDGERRIN JAMES
RB - CLINTON PORTIS
RB - AHMAN GREEN
RB - RONNIE BROWN
RB - RICKY WILLIAMS (I got the pothead in the 19th round)
TE - L.J. SMITH
TE - BEN WATSON
K - JOSH BROWN

D - DERRICK BROOKS
D - RODNEY HARRISON
D - MARCUS TRUFANT
D - DERRICK JOHNSON
D - CHARLES GRANT
D - KEVIN WILLIAMS

I'm a little disappointed with my WR core. My RB situation looks pretty good. My QB's could be better but aren't bad. I really like my defensive players. My TE is fairly weak but their just aren't many great TE in the league and I'm not drafting one in first 6 rounds unless it's Tony G or Antonio Gates. I should be able to trade a RB at some point for a solid player in an area of need.

It is a finely balanced scoring system. 100 passing yards is a shit game for a QB since you seem to lack a clue.

Don't let that stop you from talking shit about something you know nothing about, douche.
Quit melting numbnuts.

Again, a QB that tosses 10 passes worth 100 yards to the same receiver gets 2 points for those passes, while the receiver gets 17. Yeah, nice balanced scoring system there.

Just out of curiousity, why do backs only get a half point for a reception?

Never injured and usually one of the best wr around. I think he has the most yards for any receiver within the past three years. Randy Moss gets more press coverage and Torry Holt beats him in the other categories.

Now the Bulger pick is risky. Rams offense loves to go through check-down after check-down, Combine that with a shitty O-Line and I'm guessing Bulger goes down by week 8.

So what if the QB goes for 299 yards, w no TDs. He gets 6 total points while the receiver who caught the 10 passes still gets 17. If the QB throws for 400 yards with no tds, he gets a total of 14 points, while the receiver still gets 17. The only way a QB could get 17 points if he doesn't throw a TD is to go for about 500 yards.....

Yeah, im sure Torry fucking Holt keeps defensive coordinators up at night like Randy Moss does.

Roster:

1 QB

2 WR/TE
1 D/ST
1 Kicker
2 Wild Card positions (must be RB or WR/TE)

In Yardage leagues, the easiest way to determine if a scoring system makes any sense is to look at generaly accepted average of a good game and compare the points - tweaking is usually done from there.

You didn't say what TD are worth - In most leagues it's 6 pts. rush or receive and 4 pts for passing

In your scoring system - based on yardage:

QB - 300 yds passing = 9 pts.
RB - 100 yds. rushing = 8 pts.
WR - 100 yds. receiving = 7 pts.

The basis on yardage shows WR at slight disadvantage so let's look at what happens when we add in 6 Receptions (about the average to get 100 yds.) to the yardage listed above

QB - 9 pts. (No change)
RB - 11 pts.
WR - 13 pts.

Since there's no bonus for big plays - a WR is 18% more valuable than a RB and 44% more valuable than a QB.

You don't show any penalty points for fumbles, yet Qb's get docked 2 pts per INT.

That's a pretty skewed scoring system and explains a lot about your choice of Holt.

The smart player would have drafted 2 WR in the first rounds and waited for a QB till the late rounds
