RIP, Denn. I'll be playing some Pulp in your honour. I know they were your favourite. Actually, Suede were your favourite, but they suck so Pulp will have to do.

First off; catch you later, Scrit's, and I'm sorry you were gay.

Secondly; there is some kind of hypocrisy about here.
It's okay to make the living feel like crap, but heaven forbid we smack on those who can no longer be hurt by our cruelty. :?

What's with that?

Here's hoping Scrit's can't witness the dishonesty.
Am I wrong...God, I hope so.

38 is far too young to die..
Scritti provided a lot of entertaining online reading for quite a few.

He's going to be missed.

please withdraw my name from the biggest faggot contest.
Scritti Politti wrote:i know,i know...i'm supposed to have a laugh at this, but i do feel offended. here's why. I am hetero, but the reason why i never talk about sex is because i believe that it's a private thing and something you don't broadcast to other people.

but really,i learned my lesson to well when the midget and the donkey rapist decided to broadcast my thoughts online as a way of "getting over." keep what you think private. the midget persists in calling me gay because i never talked about who i dated and because i don't fit the typical "macho" idea. i always believed that you should never fit what people want you to be. be yourself and if people don't like who you are-they can get fucked-simple as that. if everyone was the same, then the world would be a dull place to be.

so please,i will refuse the faggot honors if you will and withdraw my name from this.

thanks.

So this is for real and not somebody's idea of a troll job? Yeah, yeah, I know. Hilarious.

If it is, we lost a pretty good poster and mod.

Dude seemed to be pretty level-headed and way beyond pretty knowledgeable about music. I once made him crack up by posting a wytched pic of Orenthal's head in place of Eddie's on Iron Maiden's "Killers" album.

RIP

Unwar going at thirty fucking eight.

I propose we rename the music forum for him.

Scritti was a great guy and he'll be missed. I got to know him pretty well on our old Canadian message board and he was definitely one of the nicest posters that I have ever met.

Dude died on my 50th birthday, probably while I was in church watching my daughter's confirmation.

Should I feel some kind of spiritual connection here?

Only if you were spanking it to a Kylie video in the confessional.

Frisco, I thought I knew you better. You and I never really posted much back and forth over on the CF forums (I as a diff nic), but I always took you for a standup guy with some values and honor about you.

Rack you for wiping the slate clean with one fell swoop.

Never thought I'd have a nice thing to say about a Detroit Red Wings fan, but I always did like BP/Scritti a lot. He was funny, smart, and really pretty cool (even if he was a Menses Munchers fan). I'll miss him. :(

I'm crying as I write this

Dennard was one of the sweetest, kindest if a little misguided people you will ever meet

I just can't believe he is dead
it's not supposed to be his time he was too young dammit!

Den really didn't have a lot in life
His greatest loves were his family. his music & music show, his galpal Jennifer & this stoopid internet community

I had a lot of fun with him & his friend Christopher when I was in Pittsburgh
I'll never forget the 3 of us going to Karoke & the big guy getting ( he was 6ft,11" in his stocking feet) up & doing the best Barry White impersonation you have ever seen
His rendition of Can't get enough of your love bought the house down

I know he will be greatly missed
I can't believe he is gone

I feel so bad about not speaking to him recently as I've been too busy in my own life

This just brings home that now matter how busy you get always make time in your life for those people who are special & Dennard was special

Wherever you are Den you were a friend who was loved & will be greatly missed
You just can't fix stupid...trust me I've tried

You see Ken, I didn't say a damn thing bad about scritti here. I'm not pissing on his grave. Like I said in my last post here, and I will drop it after this, is for those who knew the guy, sorry for your "loss", and for those who don't, why pour out a beer? Sorry if I don't follow whatever protocol is being called out for here.

And by God, look who might possibly have said it best...

Oh, and BSmack, you can refer the Euro to scritti's post above...

Over all of the hours spent on these messageboards I've had the great fortune to talk with some exceptional people. Denn was one of these and I can say it "really" hurts to hear of his passing. He was a good friend and he'll be missed. Damn.........
