Racism & election interference

Post by The Seer »

What the demonic dems have been doing to Trump since 2016 will be remembered as the worst era of political corruption in the nation's history.

The "AG" of the US is determined to continue the RACIST policy of not requiring voters to prove who they are by showing an ID (a clear inference blacks are too feeble to obtain some for of ID card.

Merrick Garland slams voter ID laws as ‘discriminatory’ and ‘unnecessary’

Attorney General Merrick Garland pledged to challenge what he called voting restrictions implemented by Republican lawmakers that he said were “discriminatory, burdensome, and unnecessary.”

Garland spoke alongside Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday in Selma, Alabama and brought up the history of black voting rights, claiming that the “right to vote is still under attack.”

One thing that must not be open for debate is the right of all eligible citizens to vote and to have their vote counted.”
(How is that determined without ID? How many NON eligible voters have entered the US lately?)

Garland has said that Supreme Court decisions have weakened the 1965 Voting Rights Act. He added that some voter ID laws and redistricting maps have put minority groups (historically democrat voters) at a disadvantage, saying that voting restrictions “threaten the foundation of our system of government.”

That is why we are challenging efforts by states and jurisdictions to implement discriminatory, burdensome, and unnecessary restrictions on access to the ballot, including those related to mail-in voting, the use of drop boxes, and voter ID requirements.”

This corruption is so blatantly obvious and they STILL say it out loud....

Doesn’t your C&P finger ever get tired?

You should try sticking it up your ass for a while. You might find that you enjoy it.

The cries from the left that voter ID is racist is beyond tiresome.

You need ID to conduct your personal business in virtually every part of your life.

If you can't get some form of ID, you have no business being near a voting booth.

For those of you against voter ID, please explain why this is such an issue.

It is impossible to come up with a legitimate reason to NOT have to provide ID to vote.

And there isn’t a single goddam thing that is in any way racist about requiring an ID to vote. Anyone fighting for no ID is obviously up to no good.

No it's not.

Requiring citizens to obtain documents that cost money in order to vote is in effect, a poll tax. Poll taxes are unconstitutional.

Glad I could help you out.

Maybe you do.

In a free country, someone can choose not to obtain a government-issued ID.
Maybe they have a reason(s) for operating that way.

"Okay, then they can't vote," you say.

Because they have made a choice, in a free country, to live their life the way they want to?

Also, some people have life circumstances which make obtaining a government-issued ID difficult, if not impossible.

The fact is, voter ID laws disproportionately affect low income folks.
Low income folks tend to be non-white.

And it's now standard practice for conservatives to require ID with only in-person voting while simultaneously closing down DMV offices in predominately minority neighborhoods.

That's called voter suppression.

So anyone in this country should be able to vote without any proof that they’re a legal resident?

Easy as hell to get free ID.

No ID…no vote.

You are really reaching.

Voting is a privilege. Poll tax my ass. You need ID to function in today's society.

If you can get an iPhone, you can pony up for an ID.

Of course, then again, I think you should only be able to vote if you pay taxes, so I'm probably the minority here.

Here in nyc, one requires identification to qualify for welfare, food stamps and public housing.

I didn’t realize so many heartless libs (AOC included) allowed this type of racism to permeate through the boroughs.

Depends on whether the place to obtain said free ID card is w/in a reasonable distance for those w/o their own vehicle or DL. If it's an all-day trip on multiple buses to get that card it's probably going to be viewed as racist if those areas w/o a nearby DMV that are populated mostly by minorities. Although you probably never referred to it in your legal career you might want to re-familiarize yourself with the 14th Amendment. And that goes double for you morons arguing whether voting is a right or not.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 of the United States Constitution, empowers Congress "To establish Post Offices." Thus, someone from the U.S. government potentially comes to every address in the United States almost daily. Letter carriers also carry scanners as part of their job. Seems like it would be fairly straightforward for the letter carriers to collect the required information from home bound residents, and then deliver the free ID card to them once their information has been verified. If that was part of the free ID card program, would you endorse it or call it racist?

End of discussion.
