Beginning of the End

I just read that the Dolphins vs Chiefs game on Saturday will be broadcast exclusively (except in KC) on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service. So, to watch Patrick Mahomes and Travis Swift you will have to subscribe to Peacock. I’m sure I can find something else to do during that time slot.

Prediction: smallest TV audience ever for an NFL postseason game, unless the Swifties decide to tune in, en masse.

I think he said “unwatchable” so many times that it finally happened.

Not sure where you got that idea. Maybe something I said in 2022? I’ve been watching all season. Not so much in 2022. Have you been following 3BB?

I was thinking of somebody else, I think.

But, in August, Mikey wrote:

I haven’t watched any regular season NFL games in a couple of years at least. Maybe one or two per season if the Niners are playing the Rams and they’re carrying it here. Just not interested anymore.
I guess “regular season” was the distinction.

Yeah I knew I said that at some point. I guess I got interested again.

The problem is that, here, we’re stuck with the Chargers and Rams every week and neither team represents San Diego or the San Diego area. The Chargers are truly horrible and have been dead to me ever since they left town, and I’ve hated the Rams as long I’ve hated the Dodgers. Not really interested. This season was better, I probably got see maybe ten of Niners games because they’ve been in the spotlight.

Red Zone is like $10. Sell a tomato or something.

I tried growing tomatoes a couple of times. What I learned is that it’s easier and cheaper to buy them at the farmers market.

10$ too much.

If only there were a stickied thread to express our dismay at cable companies runaway prices.

I really need to wander over to this forum more often in search
of stupid shit to laugh at.

Mikey, your thread didn't age very well.

"Per NBC Sports, the game is the most streamed live event in U.S. history
and accounted for 30 percent of Internet traffic while it streamed."
I am not sure why you think the game was only available locally for
free in KC.... they played Miami ... they got the game free also, as
ALL LOCAL TEAMS ALWAYS DO.

But, I do understand your wishful thinking. I am a cheap bastard and don't
like paying for things that have always been free.

This is the fukken TRUTH. Dave will drive across state lines to find a gas station offering FREE AIR for his tires.
