A Christmas Story---- Jean Shepherd at his best.
A Christmas Carol--- 1951 version with Alastair Sim as Scrooge
The Grinch Stole Christmas--- original 1/2 hour cartoon
Charlie Brown Christmas---my add on ---even has a Bible quote
Just because Die Hard is at Christmas time doesn't cut it for me.

Allbarn wouldn't get relegated if there was relegation in D-1A football.

Upon review of the video, I have to update my choices.

I’ll drop die hard for Home Alone.

Would like to give mention to Grinch who stole Christmas. From Dr Seuss’ brilliant words to Boris Karloff’s narration, it is easily the best Xmas cartoon.

Whatever I end up watching tomorrow.

It will probably be a three part series about NFL games played on 12/25/2023.

My dad went to the same HS as Vince Guaraldi (Lincoln HS in San Francisco) in the late 40s. They weren’t friends or anything but he told me that Guaraldi had a reputation of being sort of a beatnik, or whatever they were called back then. He was a fairly successful jazz pianist in the Bay Area for a number of years starting in the 50s (but being a fairly successful jazz pianist at that time didn’t necessarily mean a decent income) bu really hit the big time with Charlie Brown’s Christmas. He definitely didn’t lack for any public recognition after that gig.

Watched Home Alone, Lost in New York yesterday.

It's better than the first one because of the cameo of our greatest president ever.

Yay Trump!!!

The song that most people refer to as the Charlie Brown Theme (actually: "Linus & Lucy")...the best version was done by David Benoit.

I haven’t heard that version but will have to look it up. “Best” is pretty subjective. The original, obviously, was Vince Gusraldi. George Winston did an album of Gusraldi’s songs, including this one, which also is very good.

It's nice to have a holiday season without the GQP propagating the fake War on Christmas nonsense they did every year when Dump was president.

Agreed on all points. Personally I think that George Winston's best work was on his Winter Into Spring album.

Yes. I have several of his albums, including the Guaraldi and all three “seasonal” albums on vinyl. I didn’t realize until just now that he died earlier this year. :-|
