Now the number of circuit court districts is 13, and there's thousands of appeals sent to SCOTUS each year (SCOTUS saying that they won't be able to hear Trump's appeal re: presidential immunity until the next session should tell you that the justices are overworked). Adding 4 justices isn't "packing the court," it's dealing with the reality of today's court system.
