Who wants a Death Pool? Hell yes I do, it's one of the things I miss about .net.

But this is not .net and StatBoy's lawyer told him to stay the fuk off message boards, so here is the new version for this sordid clambake. The rules are generally the same, but more with more picks.


First annual T1B Death Pool - 2023

Entries open at 1900z Sunday Dec. 11, 2022, which translates to

2pm EST - 1pm CST - 12noon MST - 11am PST in the ol' USA

9pm Eastern Euro Time, Athens

4am Korean Standard Time next morning Dec. 12, Seoul

* Entries made before that time will be void and deleted.

Picks close Dec. 30.

Pick seven celebrities. Extra points and glory for predicting cause and month of death.

Post close to opening time else someone else might get your pick in before you. Make sure when you hit post with your picks, no one else has taken your dead-person-walking yet. Better keep a few backup names in case you need them.

Only approved celebrities will be allowed for picks. A celebrity is “a famous or celebrated person”. Celebrity can be from the genre of sports, movies, music, TV, media, entertainment, radio, comedy, government (foreign and domestic), person of national/world interest, inventors, etc., but must be a known celebrity. Picking the mayor of the crappy little town you grew up in will not work, unless that person has received national attention.

When one of your celebrities dies, their age is deducted from 100 and the remainder is the amount of points you receive for that pick, plus any bonus points that may apply. If your dead pick is over 100 years old, you will be deducted a point for every year over the age of 100.

The basic formula is: (100 points - Age) + Any Applicable Bonus Points = Total Score

Picking a celebrity on Death Row is not allowed.

Only human celebrities are allowed to be picked. No animals.

Conjoined twins shall be considered as one (1) pick for each twin.

Bonus points

Predicts specific cause of death. +20

Predicts death month + 15

Decision of judges is final. Some worthy awards will be given.
