Just a note: saw a young lady and her 6-7 year old son in front of Lowes earlier today. They appeared to be Hispanic. They had a sign reading that they needed help to get home, etc. I pulled over to them and gave her some money. She thanked me profusely. As I was backing out, I nearly got hit by a local police SUV. Then a police car whipped in from the other side. Officers got out and I heard them say, “You’ve been told not to be here doing this.” Now I wonder if she needed assistance or was running a scam.
